Byrd would come with a $7.4M cap hit ($6M of it guaranteed).

The Cowboys really liked Vaccaro in 2013.

Leary is worth neither one though, IMO.

Do they have someone who's injured that might or not play again but has potential? If so let's make a deal.

I heard it is for Willie Snead

Doubt it. He doesn't offer much more than Willams or Butler. Though the Kid went off for almost 1,000 yards and had 60+ catches last year. With Colston gone they need weapons behind Cooks.

If that's true, I will gladly eat my crow while doing a two step.

I don't understand this logic at all.

Leary has no position flex. He is a left guard and that's it. He's expensive. He's leaving next year. He's unlikely to sign a big deal if he stays and doesn't play. And any compensation will be two years away.

Sell him and move on.

I think the logic is more so about not creating more holes this year than we must.

Yeah, he's leaving next year. But he's still the best option at guard is something happens to Collins or Martin.

Toss in the fact, were pretty mediocre at drafting in the 4th/5th round.

If we could land a solid role player I'd be more so behind it. I just worry we make the deal, something happens to our line and we bust on our pick.

I'm on your side.

This is the part that Cowboys brass really need to work on, IMO.

Get something for guys they likely won't resign.

Leary has more value to the team than what he'll likely net in return, but only for this year.

A draft pick of almost any kind essentially and long term you got great use out of Leary and flipped an UFA for a draft pick.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Unless a team wants to knock my socks off with a trade offer or a 3rd round pick I ain't interested.I know you will say no one will offer that ,then fine .I keep him
I especially am not letting him go until training camp is over and we have a healthy Martin and Collins on this team.
