Gachkar and Morris will be game day active and will see playing time in a rotation or as key depth. They also happen to be the most injury prone positions in the league. Leary is a starting quality OG who would start on 90% of teams in the NFL.
Smith is signed through 2020 at that rate. This is why I say you have no clue about inflation as you insist on yesteryears valuations instead of with vision towards the future.
Gachkar runs a 4.5 with great agility scores. He outplayed Wilson and Hitchens two young guys last year when given opportunity. He can chase sideline to sideline against the short passing game better than anyone on the roster not named Sean Lee. Speed in the middle of the field is a huge need and not something we should just throwaway.
Thornton is a starting quality league proven interior DL. $3m AAV is a pittance particularly moving forward.
What decent QB can you get for $6m? This isn't the 1990s.

Other than rookies on cost controlled contracts there is nary a QB that gets that much particularly out of UFA. Wishful thinking doesn't set the market.
