You've admittedly made your mind up. You've provided a scenario where someone comes into the home (after the tenant leaves) and makes a mess of it. Okay, that's definitely in the realm of possibility, but we have no evidence of it one way or the other. Yet, you don't stop there, apparently you know that's what's happened. Gimmie a break.

It's really not possible to defend Dez in this situation yet. All we know are the accusations. We don't know the circumstances. Until those come out, if they come out, everybody ought to be in 'wait and see' mode. It's possible Dez or his people pulled a dirtbag move. It's possible this is another smear. There's not enough information yet to know which it is.

in the entire history of the zone, this has never happened.

And then there is this pesky thing called contract language. You don't know what the lease says so quit acting like you've made some point. Regardless, a representative of Bryant was not present at the final walkthrough as stated in the article so it's not as cut and dry as you might like even if it is standard.

So you don't think a lease agreement has any language pertaining to property damage and tenant responsibility? And it appears Bryant chose not to attend the walkthrough.

The only question here is not whether Bryant will have to pay, but how much he'll pay. I agree that it may not be as much as West is suing him for but he'll have to pay. And what Bryant might "save" might be off-set by attorney fees and lost rent if the court finds he's responsible for that.

The relevant lease terms are provided in the court report (and attached as an exhibit). I don't think you're bright enough to realize this document is available publicly and wasn't "leaked." It's further proof you haven't even read the document and are simply just spouting of theories like you're a paid apologist.

And any wonder why a representative of Bryant's wasn't present to conduct a walkthrough when the place was in the condition it was?

People don't need to read it. They go into instant defense mode simply because it's Dez. Fuz questions the language of the lease when it's there in the affidavit and attached for everyone to read. I mean, it's an even dumber assumption to think even the most standard lease wouldn't have some language about property damage and tenant responsibility. That's the whole purpose of the lease if you have one done.

I'm sorry, but that place is filthy and the carpet stains, even on the staircase, tells me all I need to know about how folks lived in that house.

Most of you should never rent properties is all I can say. You would be appalled and perpetually angry.

Its pretty much a given that when a house is turned over that carpet and paint is done.

I don't think people who rent their houses to very wealthy people expect to find their home in bad condition when the renters leave it.
We aren't talking about cookie cutter homes here.

Exactly, folks on here are acting like this is some 500 dollar a month apartment rented out to a couple of college kids

These guys have to adhere to a rigid thought process in order to rationalize the evidence/information presented in this matter.

It's starts with a premise they won't ever consider abandoning: Dez MUST be innocent or not responsible of any wrongdoing in any matter.
  • They purposely take the narrow and completely baseless viewpoint that the photos in the article MUST be an exhaustive account of all the damage done to the property.
  • They've concluded the only damage done was to the carpet and drywall and that there is no justification for the stated damages (~$60K).
  • They refuse to acknowledge that additional damage may be done that can't be seen in the photos, such as damage to the flooring or subflooring and the scale of repair costs for a 6,400 SF house.
  • FuzzyLogic continues to laughably claim (of course without any support of evidence) that the photos were leaked, but failing to realize these particular court docs are public record.
  • They equate motive mongering (i.e. "West/Wells are just trying to do Dez wrong") as objective fact.
As to your point about exaggerated repair costs....they don't get that either. It was explained to them early on that is standard procedure in these types of property/damage law suits. You ALWAYS ask for the highest amount with hopes the judge awards the requested amount, or at the very least, a certain percentage below the amount. Only an idiot would come in with the lowest estimate.

Just reading through all the posts. Got to say, you're right on the money imo. I have several (3) buddies who all have rental properties as well as small strip centers and the like, and family is also in the same business but more commercial. Repairing the damage caused by tenants is an issue. There have been a couple of times where the tenants are clean and respectable. Pets cause the most damage. Once urine gets into the carpet and the sun hits it.....man. Oh and forget about getting section 8 housing tenants.

Just wanted to clear something up:

I'm not 100% sure but I'm very certain this is the same house Dez had that exclusive all black affair party I told you guys me and my friend attended after the Eagles game last year. This was the party that celebrated Dez's birthday along with his charity organization for kids where Lucky Whitehead, TDubz, David Irving, we're all in attendance. Dez didn't live in this place as he used it for parties and such if I'm not mistaken.

When we got picked up for the party you were required to turn your phones in and a private party bus brought us out to the mansion. Those stairs in the picture look exactly as they did at the mansion we were at with dez and company.

so dez paid 4500 a month for a place to have partys occasionally ??

They allege Dez has multiple properties. Also one of his boys that held onto our phones/cameras said he doesn't live in the mansion. Which would kind of make sense because the mansion didn't to have any personal belongings in there. There were a bunch of Hennessy advertisements and non Cowboys related things that would give you the assumption he doesn't live there. My friends and I were shocked because we know how much Dez loves the Cowboys and there was like maybe one small Cowboys helmet the size of a fist in there but nothing else. I'm sure he stayed there from time to time. When Terrence Williams showed up it was to go to sleep pretty much as he came in sweats and a t shirt and a bunch of the girls that originally got on the bus with us never got back on.

If you check out Instagram.com/officialdezbryantfanpage and scroll down a bit you'll see the all black affair I attended and you can get an idea of what the mansion looked like. Again, it's very possible this particular mansion that we attended isn't the same one the senator rented to Dez but that staircase looked very familiar.

I'm not going to try to spin this in a way that lessens the impact to Dez's image. Howeverr, in all fairness, let me point out that this is the age of the internet, You Tube, Twitter, etc, etc. People's image can be created or destroyed before an audienbce of millions in just a matter of seconds. Look what happened to poor La 'El Collins.

Anytime one of these famous athletes do something today, their business is public knowledge before they can draw their next breath. It wasn't always that way. In the past, it took years, perhaps decades, to discoverr what jerks our sports heroes really were. Ty Cobb was a hideous human being. He was a big time racist but nobody knew it at the time.

We never knew that much about Hollywood Henderson;'s cocaine addiction until later. Bpb Hayes was constantly in trouble. To put things in perspective, the Cowboys had a wide receiver named Lance Rentzel that was married to a Hollywood star, she was a knockout. However, he preferred to expose himself to girls 10 years old and younger. It took a while for fans to discover this news. By then, he was already traded.\

Dez didn't murder his girlfriend. He didn't stab a teammate with a pair of scissors. He got irresponsible and he'
is still strtuggling with goiong from having absolutely nothing to whatever he wants. He got irresponsible. When I was in my 20's I did some amazingly stupid things. I know better now and Dez will at some point. Let's not blow this up, every other team's fans want to talk about it, Don't give them the satisfaction.

I said "appears" because it's in the affidavit but that's one side of it. Could be they never called him. But they still have that pesky lease agreement to get over....you know, the one with no language pertaining to property damage.

West was getting 58k a year in rent for several years.....he can clean up his own mess

LOL.

I am guessing a judge, if this gets to court, will see it differently. If Bryant caused this damage he's gonna have to pay for it and the argument, "well gee this guy ripped me off in the past so I figured I could stick it to him by trashing his house...." wont fly.
