If there is a video and it's found, and along with Zeke's text messages saying she will set him up, this whole thing will be squashed. I wasn't too worried about it when it first came out and as the days go by I'm less worried about it.

On the long term, the only thing I am worried about is Zeke's judgement with who he hangs out with. I'm not a fan of seeing a picture of him and some chick while Zeke is asleep in her bed. Then his ex-GF uses social media to post her pictures of the alleged assault. I am a little worried about his maturity level and the maturity of the people he hangs out with.

If this incident doesn't provide a valuable learning experience for him, I surely wouldn't know what it might take to do so. Rookies are usually warned early-on by those in charge that they'd be wise to avoid occasions that invite the kind of difficulty that he's now experiencing. I'd be very surprised if he hasn't already heard that advice about a hundred times by now. He's reputedly an intelligent kid -- I think it's probably a good bet that he'll be considerably more careful in the future.

Anyone that ruins another person's reputation with lies committed an evil act.

Yeah, a money-grab like she was attempting can certainly be categorized as evil. Not the worst kind, to be sure... but a really bad thing to do to someone just because they decided they want to break up with you.

Frankly, I think jail time should be the norm when someone tries to ruin someone's life and reputation by lying about them and accusing them of something like DV.

Better words to use than calling a former girlfriend evil.

Seems to me that it could legitimately be considered an evil deed if someone intentionally does something to ruin another's career when they've devoted so much work to get where Elliott is. She might have been his "girlfriend" at one time but she definitely proved she's no friend at all.

Sorry if this has been noted already, but NFL Network has made no mention of this incident, not even in the news ticker on the bottom of the screen.

Zeke has handled this situation with aplomb, and I hope it ends right here, right now.

I'm not so sure about that -- I've had women break up with me but never attempted to ruin their careers nor cause them serious harm.

That is more than just lying. When it comes to the whole good/evil thing I'm not a fan. I agree with Nietzsche that it is the slave morality. I would be more interested in what the actual motivations, situation and the like as opposed to applying an emotional generalization.

His cellphone is what helped save him......he has messages from the girl that say she will try to destroy him if he breaks up with her

Yeah, I meant unlike Brady who was so innocent he felt the need to destroy his cell phone

Well, if there's one positive to come out of this... Zeke will probably wash his hands from the club type women and find himself a nice girl. He has the smarts so I hope he uses them.

This shouldn't even need to be explained. Also it's not just his career at stake, but potentially his freedom. It's disgusting and certainly evil.

First of all he is referring to the "act" which would be evil. But grace actually makes the difference.

Again, I don't put stock into notions of good and evil. I'm interested in outcomes. In this case the lie ended up hurting a fellow man. That is not always the case.
