I read elsewhere that he is experiencing some pain with his feet. Apparently, players aren't the only ones that suffer physical problems. Having had problems in that regard myself in the past, I can't say as I blame him to taking time off to tend to it. It can make a body cringe in pain, that's for doggone sure -- there are times when merely standing can become intolerable.

I can relate to foot and leg pain. I lived with it just about all of my life.
And now it has just got worse over the past few years.
I decided to retire early from it.

I had operation on both Achilles' tendons in my teens. So it does effect a body a lot. And you are correct, I can attest to that, standing and walk in at times is intolerable.

Which are you basing yours on? You don't think Weeden improved v. the prior year? Or you're suggesting Wade should have been working with Cassel and not Weeden the week Cassel came into town? Assuming that poster's paraphrased comment re what Cassel reportedly said to Lynch was accurate and complete?
Please refute either? I have brought statements and links. U brought neither.

I think lower of him with both instance.

So u back wade on his statement on weeden? "I think we all feel good about what we got."?

You could fire nearly every QB coach in the league if you went by the criteria of whom did they improve using fans judgment.

There is NO ONE on this site including a few coaches who know the NFL QB position well enough to criticize the coaches. You can't even look at the coaches film and decipher the reads, progressions, etc the QB goes thru much less ALL the rest of the game. And NO ONE is privy to what the pro's coach is doing.

I'm familiar with the Achilles tendon injury also. Mine was severed about 20 years ago. It took me a year to fully recover with no sign of a limp.

Take a look at the interview with Romo and Kurt Warner from a few days ago. Wish I had the link handy. Romo's breakdown of the difference between 1st and 2nd down vs. 3rd down was fantastic. Totally proves your point that no one here has any clue what he is processing in seconds.

One thing I will give credit to Wilson, he was always given credit for his ball fakes. Romo is one of the few modern day QBs that really works that aspect of the game. Frustrates me that play-action is not used more often!

Jesus Christ. A human being leaves for personal reasons - likely medical - and you guys are like sharks sniffing out blood.

You should all be absolutely ashamed of yourselves, but this is CowboysZone, so I'm not surprised.

It's what the folks here do. Criticize anything Cowboys. ***** whine and moan like little girls.

Then why have a forum? Should we have a only coaches forum? We discuss what we see and results. If anyone see weeden as being a successful within the boys, maybe u should be questioned. Even if ur not a coach.

I was going to, depending which you thought was realistic.

Weeden did progress from 2014 to 2015. He just needed to progress more.

Cassel, if that poster reported faithfully (which is never a sure thing)...is it unusual for the QB coach to be immersed with the QB2 who's just been elevated to starter instead of the new QB3 coming into town? I ask, because I honestly don't know how thats typically handled, and I'm not sure anybody here does, either. Either way, it's still second-hand hearsay, which makes it unreliable.

Well particular I have issue is with." I think we all feel good about what we got." This was in reference to weeden. So what they felt, did it equal what we saw on the Field?

For the record, that was Jerry saying that, after referencing Wilson earlier in the quote.

For goodness sakes. No, you have a forum because we are all relative equals here. There's plenty to discuss at the fan level.

While some know a fair amount esp some of the coaches here, you can't know what you don't know. I just know the game is incredibly sophisticated these days esp at the QB position. We as fans can discuss the Xs and Os as long as we don't take it too seriously.

My point was no one here is sophisticated enough to really know what kind of coaches we really have. I ASSUME Wilson must be at least ok to stay in the same position so long and to have Romo speak highly of him.

I'd read that and call it coach speak. There is a difference between that and real praise. And I admit there are plenty of times I can't tell even knowing the speaker pretty well.

Even the coaches are taking advantage of Cup Cake Training Camp now. Love this organization.

You don't have a freakin' clue what you're talking about.

Wade Wilson has diabetes, and one of the effects of that affliction is poor circulation and nerve damage, especially to the extremities. When a diabetic' foot gets a cut, infection, or even an ingrown toenail, the lack of circulation inhibits the body's ability to heal itself. It requires immediate attention or it can easily turn gangrenous. What would be a simple cut on a normal foot can carry a very real risk of amputation to a diabetic. Does that sound like Camp Cupcake to you?

I haven't seen my 60th birthday yet, and Diabetes has caused a stroke, a heart attack, four eye surgeries, four hand surgeries, kidney failure (on dialysis now and awaiting a transplant), and neuropathy in both feet. I still have my feet, though, because I am very conscious about taking care of Them. I'm lucky in that regard.

I'd bet that every single poster on CZ either has diabetes, or knows someone who does. It's that prevalent in the world today. Your insensitivity is not only insulting, but downright subhuman.

Same here, about the same time playing basketball. Running down the court and felt the sting in the back of my left leg. Went down and the first thing I noticed was the knot about halfway up my call. The tendon literally snapped and "rolled up" the back of my leg. It was 6 months before I could walk unassisted, and 5 more before I could even jog.

That's so gross.

I had a bucket handle in my meniscus. Held my knee locked at 90 degrees until I couldn't stand it and forcibly straightened it with my other leg, pulling the cartilage clean off the bone. Nasty.

I'll go by results. And the fact that none of these coaches can adequately prepare any quarterbacks other than Romo. The pattern is clear, the losses are clear, the awful results are clear. People can try to hide in some grey area if they want to, but the fact is that based on results, that grey area doesn't exist.

Romo thinks highly of him and the fact he's still on the job for years speaks volumes. He been a good mentor to Romo. No one here knows the guy so I don't get the piling on. Mob behavior.
The piling on comes from so many posters that have not seen good results with Wilson developing QBs. Romo had plenty of ups and downs that could have been prevented IMO. He spent one year trying to play like Tom Brady, the next year he was working on other secret things. Who does that kind of stuff? Romo has been at his best when he played like Romo, without all of this imitating and secret work. No other QB has been able to fill in and have success which Wilson gets blamed for too. I wish him the best on a personal level, but I would rather see a new QB coach in Dallas.

I give ya that. Just too much coach speak to the public, for players like weeden, truly should make you ponder their abilities is all.
