No locker for Rolando McClain at the Star

Seriously. How can he look them in their faces having only made a few million dollars playing football. The humanity

"A few million" that he's in all likelihood pissed away, like most idiots manage to do. The fact is that he had the potential and ability to make $100 million in this league if he bothered to give a ****. If you want to defend his actions and decisions, step up and have at it.

As addicts do, before they go into rehab...I will give him that opportunity after rehab to show he has changed. and if he hasn't then time to move on. What does it hurt to give him that chance. It's not like we can get that draft pick back anyway. so nothing to lose by waiting it out.
The NFL is not like your local walmart store, or even if the guy is a doctor with a problem...those can be replaced easily. A NFL player with talent cannot be. So they get these extra chances.

Until any Addict acknowledges and accepts he or she is an addict and wants to change his life, rehab won't do a thing.....I'd argue Gregory hasn't displayed anything to show he wants to change, I hope he does but with his record of failed drug tests and excuses over recent years in college and the pros, nothing has indicated that he has.....and no amount of talent a player displays helps a team if he can't get on the field but like I said, I HOPE HE CHANGES HIS LIFE!

We don't know if he has or has not displayed he is willing to change. Only what is derived form the media. And then you have the CZ factor, where most everything will be negative on here about these situations. Take a report that someone once smoked pot, and it will be turned into he is a drug addict.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt he will come out of rehab better. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right. It's all just a guess at this point. But I will not downgrade him just yet.

I'm not defending anything. It's just not tragic or sad. Disappointing at best.

The main difference between the two = the Cowboys had a greater investment in Gregory than McClain = simply a business decision.

I'm pretty sure this is Randy's last chance -- he'll either change his ways or forfeit any chance of salvaging a lucrative career.

He checked himself into Rehab that is step. I think he is on his last chance and hope he can overcome this through professional help. In the end as with any person dealing with an addiction it will ultimately fall to him to change

Will raise a glass when McClain and Gregory are far from this team. Complete wastes of resources and energy. This team needs to focus on players that actually love the game.

My two cents...Gregory has MILLIONS to lose by his behavior. If he had any control over his impulsive behavior, surely he would exercise it. I'm not giving him a pass, but it is clear that he has both a love of the game...and a massive addiction. I would, of course, prefer we not draft or otherwise bring in people with these issues, but once they're on the team, we have an obligation (as caring humans, if nothing else) to help them any way we can. I'm glad he's with a team like ours (yes, I claim part ownership) that has great resources in place and the compassion to try to help.

Here's hoping he can turn it around. If not for the Cowboys sake, for his own.

If anything Jerry has stuck by players to the extent that they still continue to screw up. Dallas has some obligation to the players but the players also have an obligation. These are grown men and frankly their action off the field cost other players on the field by not being out there on game day producing. It is not just effecting Gregory it is affecting his teammates. I suspect the Cowboys will give him yet another chance but there has to be a point where the players take responsibility for their action and behavior or they must be cut loose.

In all my decades of being a fan of this team, I have never seen a more selfish, over rated player in my life. A two down line backer who is motivated to play a half of football every four games. Another guy stealing money as long as he could. Buh bye

Many have zero understanding of it.

I understand addiction I also understand that the Cowboys cannot be the halfway house of the NFL and expect to compete. I think Jerry Jones has done a lot in terms of trying to help players, giving players multiple chances but it comes with a cost to the team overall. Dallas now has to make adjustment because Lawrence, Gregory and Ro are out and there is no way they can get top replacement to fill those voids.

Just wanted to let you know that you're saving me a lot of typing today, because you're saying exactly how i feel on this subject.
