Holy hell, this fanbase deserves every ounce of crap that is laid on it. Romo is one year removed from an MVP like season and now there is "no way" he can get his job back from a 4th round rookie with 3 preseason games under his belt.

yes, this happens time and time again in this league, guys hit the thirties, have a back injury and in a year or 2 they go from all pro to out of the league. Let say he comes back in six weeks, how's he going to slide?

I didn't minimize any facts. I pointed out the context of those facts.

In a vain effort to make them appear less serious than they truly are. I don't care how he gets hurt, why he gets hurt, only that he gets hurt. Repeatedly. Missing games, repeatedly.

You have decided that that hit was one that any other QB would have gotten up from. Please feel free to quantify that "fact" as anything other than your opinion.

I don't care about anyone else or their circumstances, or speculation about what may or may not Halen to someone else. It's totally irrelevant and more excuses. I care about what did happen and what continues to happen to this franchise's expected starting quarterback. And about how they're repeatedly left scrambling because of it.

Of course you don't. Because that doesn't support your argument that Romo is constantly injured.

Reality, facts, and numbers do that just fine for me. No excuses, qualifiers, or speculation needed.

Or, you know, twice.

27 games and counting. Not "twice".

That is not how guaranteed contracts work in the NFL.

The team knew the risks when they restructured his contract 1000 times already, so if they have to eat millions on a QB who cant play anymore, well that is on them. Maybe if the team would have managed the cap better and not spent 50 million on scrubs like Carr, then they would not have had to restructure Romo's contract every offseason and now be on the hook for millions.

Just saying.

And it's a fair point. I'm not saying he doesn't have the right to hold their feet to the fire, he does. I'm saying I'd be disappointed if he did.

If you want to stay on this roller coaster, hoping and praying that maybe the next time things will be different, maybe you are?

Some additional details for anyone who is interested:

http://sportsday.***BANNED-URL***/d...n-fracture-closer-look-tony-romos-back-injury

It confirms a 6-10 week time period.

So, it appears he's looking at missing the first one to two months of the season.

It confirms from "sources" not the team. While I don't doubt he's out I would take the media and their Web MD searching a solid source.

I'd trust them before the team. They're not selling hope for a living. And they're not the guys who said Romo was OK to return so quickly from the collarbone last year either.

I'm scoring it:

Outside the building - 1

Inside the building - 0

Already did. Twice.

I just watched the replay for the umpteenth time, I see the defender did nothing wrong. The moment he left his feet to dive tackle coincided with when Tony started his slide, there was no avoiding that collision even if the defender wanted to. It was a perfectly legal tackle. You're just butthurt, it's ok to admit it.
