Cowboys working out Austin Davis (on Wednesday)

Good move. Kids average but has experience and is cheaper than Sanchez.

Id much rather have him than a special teams practice squad guy at backup.

I see this as a short term signing if the Cowboys want him. Somebody with a little bit of experience to backup Dak until Romo is healthy, or at least as healthy as he's going to get for 2016.

Either that or they really don't like Jameill Showers, who I read had a great camp. His preseason struggles might have more to do with playing with the second-third string offense.

He had an AWESOME run with the Rams two years ago where he played borderline great football. I watched almost all of those games and I was sincerely impressed.

We could do a lot worse. I am not sure what has happened to him since then.

Good. This was a guy I thought was a fit early on.
Yes. The club needs another QB to add some decent support and fill out the roster even on a short term basis. I mean what would happen if Prescott was injured. It only makes sense.

How will this affect poor Mo's fragile psyche? Austin Davis put himself on the map beating Mo like a rented mule

Interestingly enough, if Dak's first 3 starts were to look like Austin Davis's first starts... Cowboys fans would be calling for Romo's release and the Dak era to begin.

Less than two years later, and Davis has suffered the ultimate QB indignity... being released by the Browns.

All I remember from that game was Dez breaking Jenkin's ankles in the 2nd half, after Jenkins jumped the route and got the pick-six in the first half.

I'd say offensively, the Cowboys are light years ahead in terms of surrounding talent compared to the Rams or Browns.

I like this move, if they sign him. No more washed up paycheck collectors.

I was there. Dez was as wide one as any receiver has ever been

watch them throw him in there to play the 2nd half of Texans game Thursday after 1 workout.
