I dunno at some point your defense has to win a game for you. We lost this game because they ran it right down our throats and we couldn't stop them. At some point doesn't the defense have to get better? We have had years of Romo bailing us out. When is Rod gonna bail us out?

I didn't have a problem with it, either. If he were catching more balls, that would be one thing. But 1 catch off of 5 targets...and those were the good looks. You guys really want your rookie QB to force throws in to Dez when there are other options? I don't think so.

We scored on, what, all of the first 4 or five possessions right? Our problem was with drops in the red zone more than anything else, anyway. Dez is a great target in there, but we have other options to go to, as well. If we just make the plays that were there to be made, we with the game. I don't see the point of second guessing and assuming the extra targets are goign to somehow be more productive than the ones he already got.

"Took what NYG gave them."

Folks, this sums up our boy wonder head coach pretty accurately.

Don't bother scheming to get the ball in the hands of your best player.

This is code for oh well, I can get out coached on any Sunday. And BTW, I just did, by a coach who had never been a head coach on any level, anywhere.

That one I totally agree with. The TE screens I don't understand. Not sure I want them going to Dez, instead, but Elliott or Lucky or Dunbar I could get behind.

I don't know why we don't run more rb screens anyway. We have the personnel for it. Philly ran them all day with Westbrook and it was literally unstoppable

Has Garrett ever once taken the blame for anything? Has he ever said "I need to do better as a coach" beyond generic statements like "We all need to do our jobs" or something along those lines? I hear a lot of other coaches, every Sunday, putting the onus on themselves after a lackluster performance.
Andy Reid nails himself to the cross every time his team loses.

I've been saying the same thing for years. Because we've seen Dunbar do it well in PS for years. Now, with Elliott, it's a no-brainer. And it's a pass that Dak is good at, too, which is important since there's a knack involved.

We did try the one RB screen to Elliott that got blown up when we couldn't handle the protection properly.

Why dictate to the other team? So much easier to just let them dictate to us.....

The defense was fine yesterday considering what was on the field. The offense left too many points on the field. Period.

I wish for just one game we intentionally force feed Dez the ball. Just to see if it works. I guess we'll never see it though :(

Here is a guess what i am waiting for, when linehan was with detroit Calvin Johnson was the focus of the passing attack and they did many things to get him the ball. I'm pretty sure any team that played detroit focused on Johnson, I am just curious why that is not happening here. Move him to the slot, put him in motion, use rub routes ( patriots do this all day long ). Put trips and cross them, use crossing routes, slants. Why isn't linehans offense trying to do more to get dez the ball.

Garrett and Linehan could possibly ruin Dak. I'm tired of these scared, conservative gameplans.

In fact, just look at what Weeden did against us in preseason. He threw a bomb that ended up being a touchdown. Everyone but Romo gets the gameplan to play baby ball, dinking and dunking down the field.

We 'took what the giants gave us' and let them take our best receiver out of the game? That say sit all. How about you move Dez around and try to find ways to get him involved in the game? It's sad that our offensive philosophy is don't do anything but hope your players beat their man.

Taking what the opponent offers up is not a winning strategy.

It works to keep games close as you are taking the easy yards and opportunities.

But it is not a way that can help you close out a football game.

Were we "giving" the run to the Giants yesterday? Seems to me that they went out and took it.

It is no wonder the man is basically a .500 coach at best.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Just doesn't work out. {shoulder shrug}
