I just heard on the radio (from someone who went over every play) that Dez only had double coverage--and even then not true double coverage, but a shaded safety--eleven times in the entire game

that was a little tongue in check but I see growth you see failure and I am thoroughly through with pointing out what appears as the obvious
and others have the opposite view. It's just life like democrats vs republicans. There is no accounting for it.

I wish we could divide the board like the pundits.com have done. I think its a great idea but I think people just want to blow steam.

You can't do that because people like me would go over there just to troll the Garrett homers that think the process takes a decade.

I wonder if one of the media types will break it down further? This seems like a hot topic so I figured someone would look at the All-22.

Do you realize that it also wasn't the first game Garrett ever coached?

The problems we saw on Sunday weren't just a one time thing.

Please tell me you aren't one of these guys that thinks Garrett is a really good coach.
I realize that Garrett doesn't throw the ball for Dak. I also realize Linehan calls the plays. And Dak is a rookie who played well enough to win with that gameplan.

Two ugly drops and a terrible run defense was the difference.

Funny how nothing is ever Garrett's responsibility.

I know this might be a tough concept for some, but if Linehan is calling a poor game or builds a poor game plan, that's on Garrett. He's the head coach. He has the power to change issues as he sees fit. So if Linehan goes out there and calls a subpar game or calls a game plan that utilizes Bryant as a decoy or has Morris sitting on the bench even though he was the more effective running back, that's Garrett's fault too.

TO, Miles, and now years of this for Dez.

A Zebra won't change his stripes.
Yeah. Miles Austin did ok here but I always wished he would get traded and get away from garrett so he could show his real potential.

And TO's stats were just as good here as any other time in his career. How did Garrett do him wrong?

Dez Bryant is the best in the league at scoring TD's.

That doesn't mean he is being put in the most optimal position to succeed.

As far as TO goes.. That was a lifetime ago but he disappeared from games just like Miles and Dez. It was the same problem we have now.

Has Garrett ever once taken the blame for anything? Has he ever said "I need to do better as a coach" beyond generic statements like "We all need to do our jobs" or something along those lines? I hear a lot of other coaches, every Sunday, putting the onus on themselves after a lackluster performance.
Nope, This goes all the way back to Wade Phillips and how he took the bullet for the Cowboys choking offense. The defense would get pressure and sacks all game long, and then the offense would wet the bed and Wade would take all the blame. Even Rob Ryan took the blame for the loss in NE a few years back, and the defense did their job to get the ball back.

Your the one who brought up TO. Not me.

Since you mention him he averaged about 80 receptions and 13 TD's a year while he was here.

His numbers actually improved his 2nd year after Garrett took over as the offensive coordinator.

They need to listen to the actual presser instead of reacting to the paraphrasing.

And, apparently, they also probably ought to look closer at what the team actually does with Dez in the first place before they decide he doesn't get moved around.

You know that a lot of it is kneejerk reactions due to frustration with this team making the same mistakes over and over. :D (That includes myself.)

Rookie QB in his first game. Case closed.

It doesn't matter what the numbers say. All the brainiacs on the board see is 1 catch for 8 yards and now they wanna trade Dez.

This thread is silly.

Do people honestly not consider that Garrett was working with a rookie QB in his first game?

They scored 27 points if Beasley and Dez didn't drop touchdowns.

with Captain Clap it doesn't matter. He had veterans last year and still did the same.
