If we lose to the Commanders, the quarterback should be whoever gives us the best chance to beat the Bears. Period. The NFL is not the place to coddle someone's ego.

So what slide rule or abacus are you using that suggests that Mark Sanchez could possibly be the quarterback that gives us the best chance to win?

Let him play, learn and get experience. We need to find out if Dak is the future. If he looks like he is the future, Garrett needs to be replaced, and get a real Coach with an offense that can be tailored to Dak, with a real QB coach. I don't see a reason to keep Dak in an offense only Romo can run. Let Romo and Dak fight it out in camp. Romo will be gone sooner rather than later, and Garrett has proved he can't win a game without Romo.

If there is any chance of ruining Dak, it is Garrett and his Romo only offense that will do it.
Excellently stated.

Prescott needs to be playing no matter what. And above all else, to determine if we need to invest a high choice at QB next April or not.

That should be the sole focus. No more of this "Tony has five years" idiocy.

The only reason we should ever play Sanchez is because he broke a leg and Romo is still messed up.

Dallas 100% needs to let Dak play until Romo is back ! It is time to find out if we have our future replacement. I believe we do already but I know the some people need more time. Every divisional game will give him the necessary experience he needs and show him what these divisional games are all about. He is well ahead of where most thought he would be so why would we hinder his growth let him get the rookie mistakes out now if need be.

Coaches need to challenge him and let him play. IMO this will be key to his development
Absolutely...too me Romo is at the end. The time is now...lets see if Prescott has what it takes...its maybe yes and maybe no....lets see. Play ball!!!

LOL this has to be a joke. No offense but there is absolutely no reason for Sanchez to play unless Dak gets hurt. He's insurance.

Dak's psyche is fine. I'm not worried what's between the ears with him. I want him to get reps. In-game experience.

Play Dak come hell or high water until Romo returns. In the off season extend Garrett's contract and his staffs another five years.
I'm learning to love the pissing and moaning.

Honestly, if that happened I might call up Showers from the practice squad. I just don't see any point at all in playing Sanchez unless we are miraculously vying for a playoff spot after all of the other injuries happen. Then I might give him the nod over Showers due to his experience.

And if we lose Dak and Romo what's the difference if he's an NFL quarterback? We're probably in pretty deep **** anyway based on what we all think the defense is. So roll the dice at that point and see what he is. And there was a time when people said that Kurt Warner was not an NFL worthy QB. Period end of story. Until, you know, he was.

I agree with the first part. Then fire the clown Garrett and hire a real NFL caliber HC and let him hire his staff and watch tbe Cowboys succeed. That is all its going to take. Plus some serious drafting on the defensive side.

Sanchez was handed the job in Denver and couldnt beat out two rookies. And before we start with but but but they saved a lot of money by cutting him, you need to ask yourself this: Do you really think if he was going to lead them anywhere they would have worried about what he was going to cost them? Of course not. They concluded what every team before them did. He is journeyman who you hope never plays. Find out what you have in Dak and cut the non sense.

if that happened i would play Sanchez, see if he shows anything as possible long term backup type.
