I don't know about getting rid of him but a few more stunts like this and the Cowboys are in a real tough spot IMO.

WR just became a much higher priority for me in this coming offseason - FA or the draft.

So he is reckless because he should have assumed his FB wouldn't have blocked a blitzing LB and he should have thrown the ball away before the FB even missed the block?
You have absolutely nothing here.

Nobody's saying that outside of you. Nice try though. He saw the linebacker coming, he could have curled up and taken the sack like Brady or Manning do. Instead, he made the throw, left himself vulnerable, and was driven down on his shoulder. His blessing and his curse.

Yea I would attempt to duck out of this debate also.... Or do you want to keep embarrassing yourself? You seem better at that than you do dealing in facts or reality.

You shouldn't be allowed to use the words "fact" or "reality". All you do is hide from them when it's anything less than the sunshine and rainbows you're capable of handling.

I could as easily follow you around from thread to thread and dismiss your opinions as the ramblings of an over emotional fan who's too upset to even try to be objective, but I prefer to take each argument on its merit. Greg Hardy.

Either way, lets both try to stay on topic. Nobody is interested in how you think I should think and post.

As long as you stay out of the 'you should react this way' type of lectures, I'm good with that. I enjoy our conversations for the most part.

Only two I can recall in the past decade+ are Anthony Fasano & Akin Ayodele to Miami for a 4th and Sean Lissamore to San Diego for a 7th round pick, beyond those two, I'm drawing a blank

I think we traded Antonio Bryant but I could be wrong.

The court of social media is <blanked> up.

Ask yourself this question:

Why do I care what these people's lives are like or what they do or don't do off the field of play?

This is football. Not "As the World Turns". If Dez has issues mentally or physically then he won't play for the Cowboys this Sunday.

Somebody else will.

And if that happens, I would simply say to that somebody else, seize the day.

It should have been already, but this makes it a priority. I just hope it does not affect the fact that Williams will be a free agent and we crave continuity because Bryant cannot be relied upon.

Injured players are required to report on Mondays, it sounds like he blew off both Monday and Tuesday.

If the reports are true that his teammates were leaking what was going on, I would believe the motivation was that they were pissed about his behavior. If Dak was sending a message to him with his comments, again I would think it was because he thought it was a problem.

I think his motivation for doing what he did is irrelevant, if he did not do what he was suppose to do and his teammates see it as a problem then it is a problem.

I don't see anyway it can be viewed as a positive.

As far as being a PR issue as the reason to cover for him, I would have just answered the question that he had not shown up for the MRI. Then Dez would have had to stand in front of his locker and answer all sorts of question to reporters, why did you not show up, aren't you letting down your teammates down by doing that etc. Let him feel the pain and put players on notice by doing it to a star that you are not going to cover for them.

Again I don't think you can change behavior unless you try.

Do I think this one incident is a huge issue that will have ramifications for weeks, no I do not. To me it is more about sending a message you are going to hold players accountable to their teammates.

If Dak said what he said to send a message to Dez, then I think our rookie QB is showing more leadership then our head coach, which in one respect is pretty cool.

I am not a Dez hater, I root for the guy and would like to see he become what I think he can be for this team.

I thought he blew it off on his off day and so they moved it to Tues morning? Did I miss something?I also hadn't heard his teammates were necessarily leaking things. If so, that's a different story depending how and what is being leaked.

I'm not really trying to spin it as a positive, to be clear. It seems to me this is a small example of the downside of Dez's emotional personality. I'm just saying his temperament is well known by his teammates and they probably see it as the double edge to a sword that usually cuts in their favor.

I guess we'll see in the coming days how big an issue it really is. If it has legs, a negative story about the Cowboys locker room usually learns to walk.

He won't.

He snipes.

A few days ago he was whining irrationally about Dez, then found him on another thread brow-beating fans about not appreciating the players.

 You do realize you're on a discussion board, right? Whether this if true or not or anything in between, fans have a right to be concerned about one of the star players if they want.

I was thinking we need to look for a nice #2 in this upcoming draft.

We might actually need to look for a legit #1 in this draft now.

Maybe we can get Greg Hardy's opinion on that.

Two very different situations. If Dez Bryant beats up his girlfriend and she leaks the pictures - he's out of here. That's very different than missing a medical appointment.

I wish Dez was more like an AJ Green/ Demarious Thomas/Jordy Nelson type player who just quietly does a solid job week in and week out. He is extremely talented but just has a hard time focusing on doing the right thing. I don't think we should have paid him, we should have tagged him for one year and then paid him if he played lights out. We jump the gun sometimes and pay the price.

Please. More lame 'spin' from someone trying to make an excuse for each and every negative thing said about 'their team'.

Smarter quarterbacks know when to fold 'em and live to fight another day. To throw the ball away, to slide, and to protect themselves. Ours doesn't. There's a reason why guys like Manning and Brady are Iron Men who rarely miss games, while Romo is far and away the most injury prone. If this once again hurts your fragile sensibilities, too bad. The numbers, facts, and missed games speak for themselves.

Romo's style of play gets him hurt. Again, and again, and again. Deal with that fact.

His greatest strength is also his greatest weakness.

This is simply not true. His style of play has not got him hurt. In most cases, it's been quick pressure up - usually up the gut (2 broken hands, broken rib, broken collar bone (twice), broken back). The most recent was him doing exactly what you asked for, a slide. The other instances were his disc injury which occurred when he spun away from a defender. I guess you suggest he stand there and get crushed in that instance? As for the play against the Eagles, I'd have to go back and watch again to see if he was holding it too long or anything. I don't know where the idea of escaping pressure = more dangerous though. If anything, it saves his bacon more often than not. It certainly has not been the cause of his injuries, and neither has holding the ball too long (with one potential exception).

More drama from Dez. And he wonders why he isn't compared to some of the greats,

Look where his arrow is pointing compared to the top receivers around the league. Between injuries and being shut down more easily than the rest, he's no longer a top 5 guy. At this point, maybe not even top 10.

We'll just agree to disagree then.

As I read through the Zone this week. What really sucks is the Dez situation has really taken away from a nice win, Dak Prescott and a 2-1 start. I think we caught a break with Dez. Can everyone Aaron Rodgers and relax. :omg:

I think it's too early to say either way.
