I get a kick out of the people that say he isn't the same player since he signed his deal. He is still the same guy. The supporting cast around him hasn't been the same and he had a foot injury that most players wouldn't have come back from in the same year and now this year he has a rookie QB and got hurt in the 3rd game trying to get every single yard he could. Hardly seems like a player that quit caring or trying.

Whatever sources said anything about a video to Schefter, he did not report it.
I can see a reporter like Schefter exaggerating a story about missing meetings or that type of thing; however, when he reported that there was a video it was much different, IMO. If there really wasn't a video, then he would really be screwing himself up by reporting that there definitely was one because he would be proven to be incorrect. I think he definitely believed that there was a video. If he did believe it, then either somebody pranked him or there was one but it disappeared.

At the time of the video story, I didn't believe it; however, since then I've changed my mind.

What's sad, is that people honestly believe Jerry paid whomever it was off, to not reveal the video. Unreal somebody could actually think that

There are about a thousand differences between blatant footage of someone knocking a woman out and a media person saying "sources".

You're smarter than this. Don't play dumb.

Saying "sources" is not a freakin' source. The same when someone attempted to say "The internet" when I asked them for a citation on a paper.

"Source" and "internet", just in general, is not a dang source. It should not be taken seriously from anyone. If you can't provide an actual source, if you can't give a specific name, it's not credible. Dead stop.
It's crazy how the media gets to slander people while profiting from the slander.

From about half the fan base. Romo Dez Witten. All get hate from the usual suspects. How many Sunday morning sabotage the Cowboys have to never go anywhere before they recognize the pattern? Well there's not a number that will suffice. Dez video, 6 police visits, rental lawsuit. All of these inspire twenty pages of agenda driven diatribes. The corrections, clarifications, retractions don't merit a peep from the same crew.

Some have an anti agenda. Where as some of us, just want to see this team succeed and win another super bowl.

I don't care if it's Dez, Williams, Beas or some street free agent. Just win.

I agree that a single report could be exaggerated; however, where there's smoke, there's usually fire. There have been a lot of "reports" about Dez over the years. Are all reporters just out to get him, but just him and not anybody else on the team?

Is everyone reporting he missed 40 meetings or are they drawing their source back to Adam, which seems to happen a lot? (Happened in the tape fiasco as well)

Sometimes the fire is just the media blatantly slandering, and since they get away with it on a regular basis, it happens far more often than it should.

The problem with 'sources' is that it doesn't tell us anything. If it was a player source or an executive source I would give it some veracity. But just innocuous 'source' could be anyone. Furthering the issue is that the AP oversight regarding vetting sources is pretty much nonexistent in sports journalism. Innuendo and half truths rule.

Why? Would it be out of character for Jerry?

Jerry told a story years ago about how he wrecked somebody's new car in college and then pulled some stunt to cover it up and he never actually owned up to it until decades later.

I'm referring to all of the reports over the past 7 years. It's been a constant stream of reported issues. Do reporters really just have it out for Dez and not any other players?

So if he denies a report from a national press member then he should focus on something else. If he doesn't deny it then it becomes true to goofballs like yourself.

I see how this works.

exactly.. but leave it to the fans that dont like dez to believe anything

I think we all like players that perform on the field and who are less of a distraction off the field. Dez needs to figure out what's more important to him. Whether you like Dez or not he is the only one who can help himself.

Is this a serious question?
What incidents that have been reported show that Dez is not dedicated to his job?
Of course the media focuses on easy targets to get headline grabbing attention. It's a ratings game and the Cowboys bring rating.

Dez has been dealing with this crap since college and was welcomed to the pros by being asked about his mom being a prostitute in an interview.
