Jags vs. Titans Game Thread

I wonder when Zeke crushes the rookie rushing record guys like mattjames will still be whining, "Todd Gurley would have been a better prospect if he wasn't injured!"

I think he's passed him already. Zeke is at 703, and Murray was around 633.

Of course, this is Murray's 8th game. We've played 6.

Yeah was thinking that after I posted it, we have a game to play yet this week, plus wasn't sure they had their bye week yet.

Lol, right, which is exactly why I made the point in the first place.
You do come across as on obsessive Ramsey apologist and Zeke critic. Its much better to be wrong and say so than to be wrong and keep dragging out excuses and thin data to support a losing position.

You come across as plainly ignorant but....

I must admit while this thread has been fun, I don't understand the overall point at all with the Ramsey/Zeke stuff.

Is it that Zeke is a run-of-the-mill back? That there have been better RB prospects before? That Ramsey is the better player or prospect? That we whiffed on our pick?

By all accounts, we absolutely nailed the No. 4 pick. We got a prized prospect that fits our scheme perfectly and is contributing to a winning, repeatable brand of football.

The prospect stuff is so silly when you watch Zeke. He's an electric player and is a unique runner in his own right. His lateral agility and cutting ability is otherworldly. Gurley may have size and speed but he certaintly can't do some things that Zeke can.

But then they will just use the excuse it was because of the OL....though it is a team sport....it is still Zeke is all that much better.
But that's ok, we can just smile no matter what with a Zeke record and on the way to the playoffs while Gurley looks for a new home in LA.

That's not (Zeke not looking very good) what he tweeted about at all. He tweeted throwing shade at the Cowboys defense for getting run on by Bennie Cunningham.

True, but he felt the cover to do it because Zeke didn't have a great game. Had Zeke gone for 100+, he probably doesn't do it.

Not to mention, Zeke was widely considered the most complete running back prospect in some time. It's not sexy, but the blitz pickup and passing game stuff contributes heavily to winning football.

Bortles even with time to throw is inaccurate....what the heck happened to him....

As a special note, it is amazing how bad Bortles is. And he showed potential last season.
This shows how little you pay attention. Bortles efficiency metrics were bad with a ton of his counting stats coming late in games after they were decided.

I even made that point earlier in the year and people tried to shout me down.

As to the Ramsey bashing....he was the better long term pick. RB position is fungible and an injury prone position.

Ramsey has been good this year. He's going to get better. And he's likely to play longer at a higher level than Zeke will. People who say we had to get Zeke to have this type of running game ignore we had a special one in 2014 with a 3rd round back. And the two best rbs in football (Bell and D.Johnson) went outside of the first round yet alone not in the top 5.

Who gives a CRAP about that? You play to win now. But you're wrong anyway. We have talent in the secondary. Ramsey is just more of the same.
