The 'cure' part hasn't been proven.....most of the relief comes from getting high...just like pain pills

I'm sure it helps nausea and glaucoma but self medicating with marijuana is extremely dangerous

From your perspective or those who use it medically?

These young athletes who are blessed with the ability to play professional football well do not realize how good they have it. To squander away this opportunity because of an addiction is mind blowing, literally. I hope he gets help and gets his life in order. Addiction to anything is a dangerous thing, and its not just illegal drugs, prescription drugs have ruined many lives also.

But it was his choice he will now have to live with the consequences.......welcome to the real world Randy, hope you got that degree to fall back on.

He doesn't need help. He just needs to move to a state where it's legal, get a nice regular job, and smoke all he wants. The NFL isn't for him. At least not until they wise up and take it off the banned substance list.

Help for his bipolar condition.

Help for his bipolar condition.
Lot of people have a lot of diagnoses to excuse their being unable to cope. There's too much going on with this job for him to handle it. He can get help while not being in the NFL.

That's a long time away..having weed smokers locked up is too big a business a lot of states aren't going to let go of. I haven't smoked the stuff in years, but it's ridiculous the people I see in my little county newspaper police report being thrown in jail. It's a lot of income they depend on, with fines and bail

Thanks for proving my point.
I knew you would. Too easy.
Whatever helps heal your soft heart. Your "point" is in your own sensitive nature. If you're butt hurt over a comment in a football chat room, go follow Miley Cyrus. I'm sure she'll share a tissue.

Bottom line Gregory has a 4 year contract he is in year 2 and now it looks as if year 3 just went out the window. I wish the guy the best and I even hope Jerry helps him find help he needs but Dallas needs to move on Gregory is no good to Dallas. He has been given ample chances and even Stephen said Gregory was already on thin ice after the league handed down the 4 game suspension then all of a sudden a 10 game and now a full year? Enough is enough.

Your post immediately made me think of the scene in Goodfellas when Tommy was killed...the old man said..."and that's that".
Yep kickass movie btw, tommy was going to finally get "made"...everything pretty much went downhill from there. Neve get tired of Goodfellas...

I guess in weird sort of way we can thank Gregory for standing in the way of us taking David Johnson with that pick at the end of round two.
Then we wouldn't have selected Zeke with the 4th overall pick this year..
Wait, I'm confused.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing, in an odd sort of way. So you're not on that island by yourself.

I'm with you on this one. This team is becoming good and we need not gamble anymore on talent. Just take the safe great pick and move on.

Jerry's mindset will always be to roll the dice. But perhaps in cases like Gregory and Hardy, where literally the entire league is running away, Jerry won't be as willing to gamble in the future.

I'm not reading this entire thread. Has this been confirmed?

Stephen Jones denied any knowledge as opposed to a non-answer.

And if people are wondering what I mean about the NIDA era, when Nixon classified pot as a schedule 1 drug his regime stated that it would be studied to verify its position on the list.

It was never really studied , most studies repudiated its position but were ignored, and then in 1989 the National Institute of Drug Abuse was formed to gate any potential research and their charter includes:

Ensuring the effective translation, implementation, and dissemination of scientific research findings to improve the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders and enhance public awareness of addiction as a brain disorder.

That means pot use denotes you have a disorder and they intend only to prevent and treat the use of marijuana. They have no intent on looking at any possible benefits or benign characteristics. IOW, if you want to get approved - and almost no one did- you have to get approval from the sophists.

The DEA is the one who approves a change in scheduling. If you want to start dismantle government agencies, I would start with those two.
