I think he has a reasonable shot to return before his window of opportunity closes. I've thought he had been regaining control of the muscle for weeks at this point though.

Why do we think Jaylon...a rookie...is going to give us much if he were to come back in the playoffs? This is great news for the future....and it wouldn't be unprecedented for a rookie to be great out of the gate....but he's had so little real practice (yet alone game time) over the course of the last year...and he's jumping into the playoffs?

bingo...won't happen IMO. The Cubs Kyle Schwarber was out all season and then played in the World Series and played well, but he had some success last season which was his rookie season. So...not the same thing and of course: different sport.

I traced this video to an August 9 webpage (www.dallascowboys.com/video/2016/08/09/behind-scenes-dak-jaylon-photoshoot).
I do not see Jaylon wearing a brace in this video.
However, i found pictures of Jaylon training with the ATO brace on August 5th (www.star-telegram.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/mac-engel/article94057182.html).
So either Jaylon does not need a brace when only walking.
Or some how he is wearing a very low profile brace that is not detectable by eye.
