Dak also leads all QB's in points added, which apparently has a high correlation with who wins MVP.

And we are in a 3 way tie for 26th in pass plays of 20 yards or more which is the standard stat for big plays.

Ok you guys are just trying to one up each other in the nerd department.

But you're better off when you lead in passer rating on 15+ yard targets than in number of 20+ or 40+ yard plays.

Top 5 teams, 20+ yard plays
26-24-1 (.520)

Top 5 (and ties), 40+ yard plays
35-34-1 (.507)

Top 5, passer rating on 15+ yard targets
31-12-1 (.721) in games those QB played

No surprise Wince isn't anywhere to be seen. Or his fanboy.

You guys crack me up. I love what Dak is doing and once Wentz gets some weapons, wait and see what he does. I can only hope he breaks a leg! Kidding or maybe not.

The only game Dak was a dink-dunker was his very first game. Right now his yards per attempt (8.4) are better than Romo's career average (7.9).

Romo is #6 all time and #2 among active players in yards per attempt, tied with Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger and just behind Wilson (8.1).

That takes down-and-distance, field position, and game situation into account. So it adds up that a QB who ranks 1st on the longer throws, has been "clutch," and plays on a team that ranks 3rd in the NFL in 3rd-down conversion rate by pass would lead the NFL in expected points added.

And those things listed above -- less so than his running ability -- are the reason ESPN has him #1 in TQBR.
