Prescott NFL's leading passer on 15+ yard targets

Who cares about any of this. Dak is the only qb in the league with a 10-1 record at that is the top stat of all at this point.
The Bears also had a 10-1 stretch of games with a rookie QB.

2005. Kyle Orton had a 63.8 rating in those games.

'Often?' Based on your 3 anecdotes? As opposed to my 5?

Now you are making claims on hypotheticals without basis.

Your original point has already been disproved, but I can give you as many "anecdotes" as you want. (Like I said in my original post, "I could go on.") And none of what I have said is hypothetical.

My point is that usage decreases efficiency. To this point all you have shown is anecdotal. Nice job with the self-assuming, though.

Also them not showing 40+ attempts means that there is a lack of data and not that you are correct.

Despite the fact that Dak Prescott is still a work in progress, his ability to produce timely first downs in difficult situations is phenomenal. There were a handful of times in the game vs. the Commanders that he produced handsomely when the odds of producing first downs looked somewhat in doubt, to say the least. In view of his limited experience with Dallas, he bears an uncanny knack for producing under extreme pressure. It's a rare rookie who's able to display his brand of coolness and consistency from one week to the next. Greatness is likely a foregone conclusion in his future.

Totally agree. I don't think enough is generally said about the 3rd and long conversions he has made. Re-watching the Commanders game, I was actually surprised myself just how many such conversions he had.

My point is that usage decreases efficiency.

Your original claim was that "Decreased usage leads to increased efficiency," which is obviously not true. And neither is your claim that "usage decreases efficiency." (And your supportive claim about Romo is completely false, as well -- in four of his past eight seasons, his HIGHEST rating came at the 31-40 split.)

How often a quarterback passes the ball within a game or season does not significantly affect his efficiency -- although his efficiency might affect how often he passes the ball.

WHO GIVE A FLYING FART? We are 10-1. Do you guys have lives?

There's some who are still calling him that. There's one guy on the board who compared Dak's rookie season with Kyle Orton's rookie season.:facepalm:

I just saw a poster call Dak a "Bus Driver" in another thread

No surprise Wince isn't anywhere to be seen. Or his fanboy.

Yet, there are Eagles fans, even after Dallas' 10th win in a row, that will still say that if Prescott and Wentz switched teams, Wentz would be regarded as the next Tom Brady.

Hey Eagle fans - you better hope Wentz doesn't turn into the next Ryan Leaf. He is closer to him than Brady.

The thing is folks is that you cannot ignore the deep ball. Take a deep shot once in a while even if it is overthrown and/or out of bounds. Make the opposing defense respect that. Who knows, there might even be a pass interference penalty.

If Dak hits the open receiver then great - I'll definitely take it. You do need a deep throw every now and again.

This is a big part of why we're on pace to be the highest-scoring offense (points per drive) since the 2007 Patriots. We keep drives going -- not just because of Elliott and the OL -- but also because the greater the to-go distance, the better the QB has been. Below are all attempts with >10 yards to go, on any down. (12.2 ypa and 0 sacks?)

If he and a few others think Dak is a bus driver he's driving one hell of a souped up bus.

That... is pretty ridiculous.

I like the fact that while still averaging 20% more YPA than the 2nd guy, and ~50% more than most of the field, he's also the most efficient in converting 1st downs at >10 yards.

Anyone who uses "dink and dunk" shall be publicly branded with "Village Idiot" from here on out.

The San Francisco offense has been pretty effective for a very long time...and that did come with long receptions as well.
