The Giants should go 12-4

I would be surprised if either the Eagles or Skins put up a fight against that defense. If the Skins have anything even riding on week 17 then maybe they have chance. But the way they are playing they'll lose to Chicago and be out of it.

I'm pretty confident we can take 1 of 2 but it's amazing to be 12-2 and still be concerned about the division.

Hardly ever are NFCE games a gimme. I don't count out the Eagles or Skins against the Giants. But yeah, we're having such a season that everybody was sleeping on how well the Giants were playing mid season. They're just as good as us, their power is just on defense where ours is on offense.

Their defense got better from week one but they couldn't stop Zeke in game 2.
Dak has had two games vs them. If he figures them out. Which I think he will.
He only has to beat them by one point. He will improve at least that much I'm convinced.

Their strength is nothing.
Our defense shuts them down.

One loss by 3 points.
One loss by one point.

Two division games, on the road, so anything is possible. 3 of the giants 4 losses have come on the road this season, and with 41 total points over the last 3 games, the giants offense isn't exactly scaring people. I could see them losing one of these games.

Usually I'd agree. But I highly doubt two teams that are out of playoff contention will have any interest in facing that defense. I look for minimal effort on Thursday from the Eagles and the Skins will probably be shattered and want to go home by week 17.

On the other hand we play Detroit which will have everything in the world to play for. And if we lose the Eagles will make week 17 their Super Bowl to ruin it for us. It's a tumultuous scenario.

We SHOULD beat the Lions but I don't like how we play against them.

This team (Dallas) has never played that team (Detroit). Both rosters are different from the past. We now have Zeke and I think he'll make a big difference.

I just mean historically we have not played the Lions well, especially at home. Took a miracle to beat them in the playoffs.

You seriously think that both of these teams are going to just lay down in their own back yard and give the game to the visiting rival? And this is because they're going to be so scared of the NY defense?

Well, agree to disagree and leave it at that I suppose.

Yes, losing to the Giants sucked because they have the tie breaker. It would have been nice to have a truly meaningless final game this season. It would have been fun to see Romo play in a meaningless game. Then fans could give him a true send off to complete his Cowboys career.

Detroit is more likely to be disinterested in Week 16 than the Skins are for Week 17.

Oh, I know what you meant and you are right about that. But my point about this being a completely different team is also valid, IMO. Heck, even JG is coaching with a more aggressive mentality this year. He actually did the same in 2014 when we were playing well. He has shown me that if he thinks he has the cards, he'll play them. That said, THIS Cowboys team is about the RB, the QB, and the Oline (and surprisingly, the defense...to a lesser extent).

They stopped Zeke in game 2. I know he got 100 yards, but nothing was significant all night. 12 of 15 Dallas possessions were 5 plays or less. One third down conversion. It was awful.

Yah? Cousins is looking for a contract. The skins ain't laying down. There's a rookie QB in philthy......Along with the coach. Neither will lay down.

The Eagles played Baltimore tough and they are no slouch on defense. So why after playing the Ravens tough, while out of playoff contention, would they all of a sudden have no interest playing tough against a division opponent?

Not saying the Eagles will win, but your reasoning was just proven not so right just a couple days ago against a statistically better defense. They put up more points against the ravens top 5 defense last week than the Giants managed against the 16th ranked Lions defense.

We win Monday night, and we'll still have that opportunity. I might be a fool, but the Lions don't worry me all that much. Having that game at home will help a lot, IMO.

The Panthers are out of it and look what they did. The Bears are out of it and were playing in single digit temps and look how they played. Players want to win games.

NFC East rivals I don't see this as an easy game for the Giants and would not be shocked at all to see Philly take the G-men down.

It's extremely seldom that I'd be one to count out one division opponent playing against the other.

Both the Skins and the Eagles would love to spoil the Giants playoff chances. Godspeed to both.
