The Giants should go 12-4

I would be surprised if either the Eagles or Skins put up a fight against that defense. If the Skins have anything even riding on week 17 then maybe they have chance. But the way they are playing they'll lose to Chicago and be out of it.

I'm pretty confident we can take 1 of 2 but it's amazing to be 12-2 and still be concerned about the division.

I'm putting my money (figuratively) on the Eagles this week. At least some of those guys will be playing for the jobs if nothing else. Ditto for their HC perhaps..

Because it couldn't be "significant" because Dak wasn't effective.
Dez couldn't catch. Stay on his feet etc.

Still, it was a lot of carries for those yards, and he couldn't really get lose. Just a bunch of 4-yard runs that didn't amount to much impact.

Agreed on Dak. He was lost, and Dez was a no-show.

I hear ya.

It's just a little bit of help and 4 yard runs with a few "catches" even if short can get us "some" first downs.

It was tough to watch them struggle like that.

Here's to, "3rd times the charm".... when it COUNTS!!! :)

Wentz is trying to win every game. These count for him.

I think the Eagles have a chance to beat them.

Not true. If they beat Dallas but lose to GB, there are scenarios that have them as a Wild Card. This is a important game for Detroit no matter what GB does.
Thanks. Forgot Detroit was in position to get that last wildcard spot.

Their defense got better from week one but they couldn't stop Zeke in game 2.
Dak has had two games vs them. If he figures them out. Which I think he will.
He only has to beat them by one point. He will improve at least that much I'm convinced.

Their strength is nothing.
Our defense shuts them down.

One loss by 3 points.
One loss by one point.

Their defense is crazy hot right now, and they match up fantastically against us. If our defense shuts them down the way they did in game 2 in the playoffs then I like our chance to win, but that team would feel confident playing against us again for good reason.

Those division games are so unpredictable. Also consider NY is on the road for both of them. I would not chalk these up as W's,

Against division rivals primed to take something positive from the season. A rookie QB looking to finish strong. Against a QB who can earn a giant new contract.

Think of it from a Giants fan's perspective. It would suck to be 12-4 and a wildcard with the 2nd best record in the entire conference.

That said, they have to get to 12-4 for that to work. A road game on a short week against a division rival with a questionable QB, and then a back:back road game against another division rival that's no slouch. They don't have a gimmie schedule exactly.

You seriously think that both of these teams are going to just lay down in their own back yard and give the game to the visiting rival? And this is because they're going to be so scared of the NY defense?

Well, agree to disagree and leave it at that I suppose.
Short week. On the road. I sense a close game.

Ok. I hear you.

But... the things they are doing would be laughed at by a more experienced QB.
And a more experienced QB would make them pay for it.
Their confidence would diminish as Zeke runs through them AND Dak gets a few things going.

I thin Dak gets there.

Usually I'd agree. But I highly doubt two teams that are out of playoff contention will have any interest in facing that defense. I look for minimal effort on Thursday from the Eagles and the Skins will probably be shattered and want to go home by week 17.

On the other hand we play Detroit which will have everything in the world to play for. And if we lose the Eagles will make week 17 their Super Bowl to ruin it for us. It's a tumultuous scenario.

We SHOULD beat the Lions but I don't like how we play against them.

The Giants do not play that well against other team not named Cowboys. They have a secret soft spot for us.

Gnats are 8-1 in their last 9 games. That's an amazing stretch.

If we falter, they have earned the division.

I don't disagree with you. I think game 2 was decided more by bad playcalling on offense by us and by a loud and pumped home crowd for the Giants. 3rd game is going to be at home for us and with hopefully better playcalling, and I do think we're the better team.

The Eagles game will be no picnic for the Giants. I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles D forced a few turnovers Thursday night. The Boy's might just have two meaningless games coming up.

I can't see how the Philly offense will score any points, so the defense/special teams would have to come up huge for Philly to win. Not seeing it.

I think the Eagles have a chance to beat them.

They absolutely do. They rushed for 169 yards on the ravens number 1 run defense and they are getting lane johnson back.

Defensively the giants can't run but will stick with the attempts to keep them out of 3rd and long. The eagles should have all kinds of chances to create turnovers and run the ball on ny tomorrow.

The giants players and media have done nothing but talk about the super bowl since they beat us, its surprising to be honest. That is all they are talking about up there.

The reality is they are 3-3 on the road and their schedule was built for them to be setup for a run with the insane amount of home games they had after their bye.

The giants defense is great but not playing at home should effect them some and having a team with nothing to lose is always a problem which is why I do not want Dallas to have to win at Philly next week.
