We win Monday night, and we'll still have that opportunity. I might be a fool, but the Lions don't worry me all that much. Having that game at home will help a lot, IMO.
I lose track of home field advantage and all of that. I had in mind that we might need to win both to get home field throughout the playoffs.

I see. Fortunately, we just need a win or a Giants loss to accomplish HFA. I strongly feel that we'll get that win Monday night no matter what Philly does against NY. That said, Philly might do us a favor on Thursday night, though I'm not counting on it.

Detroit is more likely to be disinterested in Week 16 than the Skins are for Week 17.

How so? There is zero reason for them to be disinterested. Their game vs Dallas is still huge for them. They have a lot riding on it potentially.

Playing a divisional opponent on the road on a short week is a tough draw for NYG. That will be a very tight game.

Yeah. If Green Bay beats Minnesota, which I think they will, Detroit will likely be disinterested on MNF.

Detroit still wants a bye and to secure at least a wild card. No reason at all for them to ne disinterested Monday.

The Eagles game will be no picnic for the Giants. I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles D forced a few turnovers Thursday night. The Boy's might just have two meaningless games coming up.

The beautiful thing is that if things go as they seem, the Giants will have to play at Atlanta or Green Bay while we are sitting at home. I don't think they win either of those games. Just hope they don't get to play the Lions.

Myself I don't worry about the Giants I am of the same mindset as Irvin, it is hard to beat a team 3 times. Just as Dallas sweep the Giants in 2006 season and Giants came in and beat us in post season. If Dallas is to be a SB champ they need to be able to beat anyone any where

Usually I'd agree. But I highly doubt two teams that are out of playoff contention will have any interest in facing that defense. I look for minimal effort on Thursday from the Eagles and the Skins will probably be shattered and want to go home by week 17.

On the other hand we play Detroit which will have everything in the world to play for. And if we lose the Eagles will make week 17 their Super Bowl to ruin it for us. It's a tumultuous scenario.

We SHOULD beat the Lions but I don't like how we play against them.

The Skins are still in the hunt but as of today they have a 21% chance of making the playoffs. The can be eliminated this week:

Case 1
Bears beats the Commanders, and
Packers beats the Vikings

Case 2
Bears beats the Commanders, and
Buccaneers beats or ties the Saints

Case 3
Commanders ties the Bears, and
Buccaneers beats the Saints

I would be surprised if either the Eagles or Skins put up a fight against that defense. If the Skins have anything even riding on week 17 then maybe they have chance. But the way they are playing they'll lose to Chicago and be out of it.

I'm pretty confident we can take 1 of 2 but it's amazing to be 12-2 and still be concerned about the division.

They're offense is stumbling around and not putting up many points, all it would take is a lucky bounce or poorly timed Eli interception to beat them.

why? They can get in as the 6 seed with a 10-6 record. So essentially if they beat Dallas they can make the playoffs regardless of the packers game, in fact its the packers game that would only mean winning the division because they would be a playoff team.

they have a better conference record than everyone they are competing with for the 6 seed and a head to head win over the skins.

We get #1 seed if:

Spot #1 - First Round Bye
Case 1
Cowboys beats or ties the Lions

Case 2
Eagles beats or ties the Giants

Not true. If they beat Dallas but lose to GB, there are scenarios that have them as a Wild Card. This is a important game for Detroit no matter what GB does.

I am going to enjoy watching the Seahawks play the Giants in Seattle, I can tell you that.

Meanwhile, Packers, Lions, Bucs, Falcons? I think the Cowboys could handle them at AT&T.

They stopped Zeke in game 2. I know he got 100 yards, but nothing was significant all night. 12 of 15 Dallas possessions were 5 plays or less. One third down conversion. It was awful.

Because it couldn't be "significant" because Dak wasn't effective.
Dez couldn't catch. Stay on his feet etc.
