Who is talking about a super team? I think most of us just want a half way decent defense. You shouldn't have to build a super team just to win a damn playoff game. There is no excuse for losing that game yesterday. If we have to give JG another year it should be SB or bust

ARLINGTON, Texas -- With a tornado warning forcing people to shelter in place at AT&T Stadium on Sunday night, Dak Prescott walked onto the field roughly two hours after his first playoff loss. With his bow tie, it was easy for the fans to know who it was, and they applauded in kind. As he hugged some friends and spent about 30 minutes under the giant digital board, talking, what must have been going through his head?
Prescott did everything he possibly could to deliver the Dallas Cowboys one of the most improbable playoff wins in their history, only to see a 51-yard field goal veer back between the goal posts to give the Green Bay Packers a 34-31 win.
In one playoff game, the Cowboys learned more about Prescott, who threw for three touchdowns and completed 24 of 38 passes for 302 yards, than they did in 16 regular-season games.
As good as Prescott was in the regular season, with 23 touchdown passes and four interceptions, 3,667 passing yards, six rushing touchdowns and 13 wins, he was better on Sunday because of what was at stake.

I say dedicate the entire draft on defense.
I keep saying.
This was our Lions playoff loss from 1991.
I felt like, wait till next year.... but for real!
Yesterday a star was born.
That was back before the salary cap and free agency era.
In modern times, when you have an opportunity like we just squandered, you have to take advantage.
Because rosters change so much year over year now.
This is a myth. Pure and simple.

How? You can't franchise tag everyone. Once they become a FA, you either pay them or they leave. And you only have so much cap space.
Pure and simple.
Understood. But...
The only upcoming changes will be for the better.
Not losing anyone significant right now.
What did Stephen Jones says about cap space? Essentially cap space isn't an issue and those who think so do not understand the cap.
THis team has a premiere QB and RB and offensive line. You will get back the lionshare of this defense, plus Jaylon Smith. You will bring in a DE, LB tackle, and DBs and improve the defense. I don't give a flying flip what the negative people think about this. There are far too many positives.
I've watched too damn much football not to see where this team is headed. I refuse to cry about yesterday's loss when the sign posts indicate this is a team on the verge of being a dynasty.
Ok. But dead money against the cap and bad cap management was the main reason this franchise wondered in the wilderness for so long after the 90s glory years were over.
I understand you can renegotiate contracts and kick the can down the road so to speak to create more space whenever you feel like you need it. Turn base salaries into signing bonuses. Etc. And we've done that with players like Romo and some others.
But to suggest it is not a consideration at all? Poppycock.
