Can't they rework Romo's deal in a trade? Just swap firsts and you get Romo and let's all move on...

"The Broncos would be willing to pay $10-12 million per season as part of an incentive-heavy deal, KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis said on a recent episode of Denver vs., a new TV show hosted by Mile High Report’s Ian Henson.

“Romo would take that deal,” Clarence Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram tweeted on Friday evening, referencing the $10-12 million price range."

I'm asking if his contract is able to be reworked as part of the trade?

Didn't Murray do that with Tennessee?

Not trying to feed the garbage, looking for answers.

Thought the title was pretty self explanatory; if this stuff is so stupid why waste time clicking and responding?
yes.
he can re-work it pre or post trade because the base salary (14m)can be flipped to bonus.
if he is simply released and took a 10m deal with incentives he'd likely end up making about 14m anyway....

Appreciate it very much, thank you!

I don't think pointing out when something is stupid is a waste of time.

Yes he can rework his contract. No i don't believe Ian Henson knows what DEN would be willing to pay, and no I don't believe for a second Clarence Hill knows what Romo might accept, or from whom.

Fair enough. Truly appreciate the feedback and I admit I mis took the point you made.

I think a lot of these articles are wrong, but plenty are right because the team tells the writer something they want leaked.

And if Clarence Hill may very well know that Romo wants to go to Denver and would do it on his current salary of 14MM. If the rumor/leak/news is that Denver wants to pay 11 Million with another 8 Million in incentives, he would be safe in saying Romo would "take that deal".
