Broncos would pay Romo $10M-$12M with heavy incentives

Why not? We aren't spending it to improve the D............ might as well have the best QB2 in the NFL

My exact problem. So we should get rid of Romo for nothing, and we don't even want anyone available in free agency anyway.

What's the point. Keep him and duck tape him to a chair. Free agency sucks this year, yet we are trying to save money for it, like its our money.

A dollar not spent today is one available there tomorrow.

It's too much to pay Tony 14mm and hope he doesn't play. Get whatever compensation you can for him and part ways. If he wanted to sign for backup money (half of his 14mm salary) then you have the conversation. But he wants to go somewhere and start and we won't let him compete here. You can't have that dynamic in a locker room and then tell guys every day is about getting better and we will play the best players. Culture matters.

Get proper compensation.

Not a bag of chips.
