This Guy is filling Anthony Brown's old gig. Anthony Brown is filling Mo. Claibornes old gig. We will resign Carr or spend a top draft pick to replace him. This group will be improved from last year. Don't be surprised to see us go - corner, de, safety, an any order in first three rounds.

Carroll will be better than Mo & stay on field. This is an upgrade.

I was looking thru a list if F/A CBs this morning and said to myself I could see Dallas signing him...and lo-n-behold they pick him up. I'm thinking he's a dime CB with S/T experience would could play in some nickel pkgs if pressed into action. Definitely don't see this as a replacement for 39 or 24...

He's a ST gunner with starting experience. People act like we intend to start him. smh.
Kind of a big contract for a gunner and #4-5 CB. Maybe they expect him to compete, considering the lack of options we have at the moment.

I hate to say this. The club now must find a way to re-sign Carr. He is only slightly above average...but thats all the club really has...consider what the Eagles and even the Giants have done Offensively. Sad really. This defense will kill the club....again.

Not really. We paid Thornton more. Then you compare his deal which is half or less than the actual starting CBs signed.

Munnerlyn who is a nickel makes 40% more. Top guys are making 3 times or more. Amukamara twice as much.

Scandrick Brown Draft Carroll add another FA like Carr/Claiborne and were gtg. We can also go long at the position because Carroll is good at special teams. You're looking at a small average salary at the position even if the UFA gets $6m. Scandrick doesn't make much more than that.

This is just the high end of the short FA deal that Steve-o likes to sign depth free agents to every year.

I don't know what kinda season Carroll had last year, but everytime I watched him he was getting torched.

Not a fan.

Can't say I'm a big fan of the signing, but if we're talking CB's, he's a 'big' corner with starting experience no matter what fans opinions are of him. With Marshall and Jefferies in our division now, we better be thankful Dallas thought enough to have a taller corner available. Yes, The Boys still have work to do, but we're in better shape than we were yesterday for sure. Not to mention, Marenilli's defense made our secondary look strong at times last year with low level production on the DL, yet fans continue to doubt. For some reason, I have a feeling, due to Carrolls size, Dallas might try him out at FS. Trust the process folks... or just jump ship. Who cares about fair wheat her fans anyway.
