I think a 4th is too high actually. 1.5 sacks and...

Last season, Richardson was such a distraction throughout the regular season, he proved that he didn’t respect his teammates or even the uniform any football player would only dream of wearing. Richardson was benched during the year and once again, started the season being suspended for the first game of the season due to an arrest he had involving speeding, drugs, and a whole bunch of things that shouldn’t be what defines a football player.

Why does the player have to be a virgin?

Not sexual virgin. Virgin in the sense that he hasn't been touched or tainted by another club. And I'm speaking in combination. If there is a player who has two years with a club but who isn't lazy or doesn't have other baggage, I'm all for trading for that player.

I just don't prefer players who are lazy, have issues then they've been with other clubs and then you have to teach that player to unlearn all he learned with another club and bring him here to retrain and reteach him.

I'd rather the virgin player.

Let's see, other interested teams won't offer much for him, but we should give up a 4th round selection.
Really? If he's not a DE, I see no point in taking on a fairly large contract just as an upgrade over the DT's we already signed.

the question is if he is a war daddy for the DL or not.
we do not have one currently anywhere on the DL.

He wouldn't bring much of anything that we don't already have at DT.

I wasn't for this kind of move a few months ago but this organization has boxed themselves into a corner with regards to improving the line.

You do have a point.

The secondary has risen to critical levels thanks to the free agency showing.

He's no war daddy, not in the pass rushing department.

He's probably a Lay-down Sally like that massive, underachieving DT the Commanders acquired several years ago and who commenced to falling asleep on the field as Michael Vick scrambled for like 500 yards on one play.

I think his name was Haynesworth?

I would be willing to overlook his attitude issues and take a one year flyer for a fourth. Question is would the Jets see the value in just taking what they can get?

Biggest concern with Richardson is his character and influence. Been down that road with bad apples before and it just seems we don't have the structure in place to deal with that.

From the way things rolled out with Hardy, we have a young and impressionable team that is just ripe to be corrupted.

i agree with this, he might corrupt the few good players we have and ruin what is being built .

Might as well put those compensation picks in 2018 to use. Oh wait...they are already spent on Jake Butt.

If they traded for him and he didn't resign do they get a comp pick back?
