Sheldon Richardson for a 4th (speculation)?

the depth of tis draft is very good, you can get a starting CB in the 4th,1 year of richardson is not worth it.

i'd be down for it simply because he's in a contract year. If there was anytime he'd shape up and play motivated, it'd be this year

is the plan to get sacks from the DTs?
seems we have enough DTs, we need a pass rush.

Whatever they get from him would be offset by what they'd get in a comp pick next year, though.

The guy's a beast, for sure. I'm leary of players with reputations for missing meetings and who come in with substance abuse history. You have to look closely at what went on in NYJ if you consider it. Maybe it was just a case of dysfunction with a bad organization and he's a guy who could do well somewhere else. But on the surface, it looks like a talented, unmotivated, entitled player looking for a payday next offseason.

True, but a 4th in this year plus a potential conditional draft pick in 18 > Comp pick in 19. Which could be diminished depending on their FA activity in 2018

On the surface Im all for it. But not if hes going to come here and be a cancer in the locker room.

Jason Cole of B/R spoke to two teams who indicated that they’re interested in trading for Jets DL Sheldon Richardson, but neither would offer very much for him at this point in time.

According to Cole, the executives both said they would be willing to part with a fourth-round pick for Richardson and added that they would consider a conditional 2018 pick that could end up being higher based on his play and whether they’re able to sign him to a long-term contract.

apparently Dallas wants nothing to do with him. They wants players who stay on field and not in league substance abuse or domestic abuse violators.

I agree
Great talent but seems to lack motivation and is wanting a big payday. I'd sure do some investigating on what went on in NY but the talent is there

Where are you seeing that?

They discussed a deal for him on the trade deadline. Jets asking price was too high.

tell that to Seattle and Carolina of 2 years ago.......its the shortest route, and even a good push moves the QB into range for DE's, and.......and finally.it starts to cut off the 3 step drop and out of G.Bay, Giants Patriots etc---

I'd do it for our 2nd, heck why not, we usually waste our 2nd anyways...lol. At this point, I'd
take a chance on him for a 3rd or 4th if we can sign him to an extension.

one of the cowboys shows were talking about it. I believe it was Eatman. Who knows it could have been smoke screen.

We do not have the right guy on the sideline to handle problem players. We have seen it too many times already. I say pass.

After McClain, Hardy and Gregory in a row, I'll pass.

I do think Sheldon has more talent than these guys, but not enough talent that we need right now to forget his off-field and locker room behaviors. I don't think he is an elite pass rusher, he's an interior lineman thay plays in a 3-4 defense.
