Jean-Jacques Taylor Out At Espn

The politics replacing the sports reporting at ESPN will continue until morale improves.

Or another 100 people get fired, whichever comes first.

LOL!

It's just sports Idgit. :)

That was an Office reference in my head when I said it.

Though even in real life I think JJT should be fired. I get what you're saying about a man's livelihood and all, but there should be consequences for sucking at your job. He won't starve to death. He'll just get his real estate license or a job at Wing Stop or whatever.

LOL! You're salty!

JJT's biggest problem to me is that he seemed to think that the athlete needed him just as much if not more than he needed them

More empathy in the Ed Werder thread. I wonder why that is, especially when both guys aren't very popular here. Where's the "I wouldn't wish this on anyone" for JJT? Never change Cowboyszone fans, Never change.

JJT is an exclusive reporter for all Dallas sports.

Personally, I detest Mr. Blue Suit over JJT. As bad as JJT was to Dez, Mr. Blue Suit was worse to other players and the organization, particularly T.O. But, Dez is far more liked than T.O. so people tend to think T.O. deserved it.

I heard about Mr. Blue Suit being fired before JJT. At first the layoffs were something I felt bad about...but then the attitude of some of those that were laid off and other reporters coming to their defense and once again...acting like they are far better and more important than they actually are and that's when I stopped feeling sorry for the no talents like Mr. Blue Suit and JJT.

Unfortunately, talented people like Trent Dilfer, Len Elmore and Jayson Stark were let go. And nothing will really change...they'll just find cheaper versions of hacks like Mr. Blue Suit and JJT.

For those who care I think JJT still has his Espn 103.3 radio job. That station is owned by cumulus (the ticket) and I imagine they have separate contracts with those guys from their espn writing jobs.

I wish he would go to another market.

I didn't hear him on the radio yesterday when I clicked over to 103.3.

I really dont care one way or the other 103.3 is just awful. I was flipping through the stations a couple of weeks ago and it was the day charlie murphy died and JJT was all mad about people talking about it. He said I dont watch no comedians or pay attention to that foolishness.

I think he is a part time teacher at SMU also so he is not out of work like most of the other guys who were layed off yesterday.

I can't rejoice over someone losing their job. I don't understand the glee some get because someone else is no longer employed via a company decision to let them go. :(

He was terrible on the radio. No idea why they thought it would be a good idea giving him his own morning show with some other spare from Kentucky. He tried way too hard to be "hip and cool". He's a loser.

My one and only interaction with JJT was at Oxnard Training camp. I was standing on the fence and he walked out with some other guy, Mickey Spagnola and Clarence Hill. He looked at me and I kind of rolled my eyes. His lower lip immediately stuck out a couple of inches and very soon after he was arguing with fans standing next to me. Hill ignored all of it and Mickey answered some questions but never took his eyes off the field. JJT jawed with a bunch of "That's my job" when asked why he dumped on the team. Spagnola would answer good questions and ignore the antagonistic ones, which is what all of those guys should do.
That's funny. What a dick.
I've met Spagnola many times, and he's always really cool. He remembers all my nephews' names when he sees them.

Exactly, mediocre reporters suddenly became hot stuff when they got ESPN gigs. They suddenly became entitled and would even be petty and smug to players.

I loved when Dez blew up on them - the Dallas media needed to be humbled.
