The Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones And The War On The NFL's 'War On Drugs'

Marijuana use is up amongst minors in Colorado.

There you go spreading lies about how the cattle industry is bad for the environment.

LOL, the first thing you see when you click on the first article is OPINION in big words. Dude, just stop. Even Colorado's own governor, who was admittedly against legalization, has come out and said the pros far outweigh the cons, youth use is down, etc. It's not a very hard concept; drug dealers don't care what age you are and will sell to anyone. When I was a kid, it was way easier to get pot than alcohol because you had to convince an adult to go into a beer store, often on camera, and purchase it from a cashier. Drug dealers would sell you anything in a shady environment. Once marijuana is regulated and sold it takes the wind out of the dealers' sails and makes it harder for kids to get. I just visited Colorado and it was cleaner and safer than most cities here in Texas. They seem to be doing just dandy.

Regardless of semantics and biased or non-biased articles, as you can see in the responses on this post, you are in the minority. The overwhelming majority of studies show the positives of legalization outweigh the negatives and usually in conversations like this I'd say I see 1 out of every 15 or so people who buy into the reefer madness crap and don't support legalization. Everyone else is all for it. As a conservative I can't abide being for less government while advocating for the government to legislate telling people what they can and can't do in their living room. Should there be laws to prohibit being stoned and driving just like their are for alcohol? Absolutely. But should it be illegal to go home and smoke a joint instead of having a beer if you are responsible? Hell no.

I fully believe that the NFL will remove testing for pot in the upcoming collective bargain agreement with the NFLPA. It is a huge bargaining chip the NFL owners have, not to mention it's the right thing to do based on where we are as a society. Randy Gregory definitely needs help if he couldn't stop smoking pot. He was clearly using it to cope with a more underlying issue the same way someone can use alcohol or McDonald's to make themselves feel better. It doesn't make the substances evil, it means they need to address the root of the problem.

Well said.

You shouldn't go there. Are you that low?

When you lie about things it opens every unprovable claim you make to such scrutiny. You are obviously disingenuous with your, "I win because I claimed victory" routine. It's blatant trolling.

Just to reiterate merit. Your RMHIDA link was a DEA LEO type. They cherry picked figures from what was already a small data set and did not even think to adjust the uncertainty. That makes one think that they have no idea what they are doing with those states. Once adjusted for uncertainty, the status quo was well within range making it compatible with the professionally done, unbiased polling done by Colorado's Bureau of Public Health.

The stats for "marijuana related" only indicates that the person in question had consumed cannabis within the last 30 days. It shows no evidence of causation.

To think Dallas Cowboy players, prior to all this testing stuff didn't do drugs is naïve.

And drinking alcohol is considered "professional?"

I just don't get where lines have been drawn.
The lines are drawn where the money tells them to be drawn. Big pharma and alcohol manufacturers are driving this train. It's people that cannot think for themselves that keep in scheduled as it is. People seem to be typically either too lazy to do the research or have a follower mentality that keep it illegal.

I'm pretty successful in my field and enjoy a good smoke relatively often. I've done my research and marijuana is quite safe and has shown some very promising medicinal applications. It's a crime that people cannot make up their mind on this plant.

No doubt there's a group that can be best described that way.

But to classify all marijuana users as being "stoners" would inaccurate.

I've never used it, but I know several who'll do it once in a while... Doesn't make then "stoners".
I agree.

Honestly, it would be fun to see you smoke a joint, Michael.

It would beat those "I would drink a beer with" things.

Seems to me this process would take a long time. Not a short thing to get put into place any time soon.

This thread is hilarious. I have whomever Fuzzy is arguing with on ignore, so I'm only getting his responses in the war.

Pure gold.
So he is arguing with air?

Correct.

This is not going to be resolved so Randy Gregory plays this year, if that is what any imbecile thinks.

This will be a very long and drawn out political process.

And judging how the NFL, yes, a sports league, has become a mirror for society, and not all of it, there will be a long wait.

I haven't read the entire thread, but if marijuana is legalized would that include doing something about the odor? I don't know how others feel, but that is one foul smell to me. And you don't have to smoke it, just be near someone who does and you wreak just as bad as they do. Whether it's legal or not, I don't want to smell like that.
Good point! I don't partake anymore but I still got the nose for it and on some of that stuff I'm thinking I catch a ' contact high' just being around it.

Listen to yourself, you explain away rather the objectively take heed of legitimate data, you only deceive yourself. You have a preconceive set of beliefs and are absolutely unable to consider other possibilities that challenge those ideas. With that frame of mind, you are incapable of rational thought and open minded consideration.

I'm good with where the argument is at. I'm not going to repeat myself as I have addressed this take directly already. You of course talked around it as opposed to addressing what is written directly.

You've established yourself as dishonest: no one here pays you anything, and pigheaded: all you do is repeat yourself.

Anywho, I keep getting likes and no one is respecting any of your takes at all whatsoever. Congratulations on being inconsequential.

You need to look at the "post to like ratio" of the two of us and do a serious rethinking of that load of nonsense.
