Would never happen here
  • Jerrys and the Cowboys organization support the blue and in a big way,,,,,,see article on the donation to the Arkansas officers as well as the Cowboys commitment to the Dallas police force after the slaying of several officers 1-2 years ago
  • Americas team - no one kneels here, and no one will ever kneel here. The Cowboys and the Patriots are the two teams that definitely would not welcome Kapernick.
  • Too much distraction: Tony dungy say teams view him as a distraction, I agree. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/t...pernick-as-a-distraction-like-mixon-and-vick/
I'd like to get $1 million against anyone who thinks that Jerry would. If not a million, I'd like to get a sig or avatar bet. It's so ridiculous, this would be easy money.

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2017/...p-anthem-protest-because-its-distraction.html

See comments below.....hundreds of negative comments by posters not one (1) pro Kapernick comment. He would be destroyed by the fans here ( save the 1-2% that don't really care ).
Regardless of what anyone here thinks personally on the issue, this post is how it is.
:hammer:

I'm for Kap because we have a better chance to win with him under center than with Moore. It's all about winning. Do whatever it takes to be able to win. I know a lot of people feel insulted over what Kap did, but no one could possibly say what he did was worse than what Greg Hardy did. We've signed other players who have done way worse than what Kap did. Sign him. Put in his contract that the kneeling down for the anthem thing is over. Problem solved. We get the best backup QB available.

As long as Linehan is offensive coordinator, KMoore will be the backup. So dream all you want about another backup.

Nope.

He has turned himself into a media lightning rod that teams will not want to deal with unless they are absolutely desperate.

Dallas would be stupid to sign Kaepernick.
HE turned HIMSELF into a media lightning rod? The way I remember it is the MEDIA turned HIM into a media lightning rod. God forbid a black man uses his platform to stand up the right to exist/live for people of color. Our team owner was on that list of owners who contributed to this current administration's campaign. That should cause more outrage that Kaepernick.

So let me get this straight, people don't understand why the team that wanted to wear these decals in support of their police department after the sniper attacks;

May not want to sign the backup QB who wore these pig cop socks in response to those attacks;

lol but this is about kaepernick being unfairly blackballed because he's such a good human being standing up for his beliefs lol gotcha

Hell NO!!!!!!!!!! He is not a QB, not even close to being better than Moore. He cannot read defenses, he cannot make all the throws. He is a very good athlete that played the QB position but he is not an NFL QB, we do not run college stuff for him to be successful.

We all know who the quarterback is if Prescott goes down for a significant amount of time.

Moore will be sufficient in the event Prescott misses a game or two.

Remember, for a few years in the 90's, the Cowboys backup was Jason Garrett. He came in and played an entire thanksgiving game and they won......of course, Emmitt carried the ball 32 times for 133 yards and had 6 receptions for 95....Which is what the Cowboys would be looking for from Zeke should Moore have to start.

The Cowboys don't need to spend for a big name backup.

Good point. It's not like Kap beat someone up like so many NFL players have done. Kap peacefully protested against very real injustices. A lot of people don't like the way he chose to protest, but when all is said and done, the fact is his protests were peaceful. He didn't beat anyone up. He didn't destroy any property. If the team lets that keep us from having the best backup QB available, that's a big mistake. Who out there is better as a backup than Kap? Fitzpatrick is no longer available. If someone else out there is better, I'm open to suggestion. Otherwise, I want this team to sign the best backup available in Kap.

Winning is more important than anything else. Kap gives this team the best chance to win other than our starting QB.

Would Kap command that much money? Seems to me with no teams knocking on his door, he could be acquired cheap.

I don't want Kaep

But acting like Moore is better than a guy with 60 games experience, an 89 QB Rating and a Super Bowl appearance is a little bias.

If you separate the off the field stuff entirely...it's impossible to say he is not an upgrade over what we have seen from Moore or a handfulll of starting QBs around the league.

Well... The media had the power to turn him into a lightning rod but it could not have been done without his action.

Regardless.. Teams aren't willing to take on the circus that comes with a marginal backup player like Kaepernick and nobody really even knows his asking price.

Let someone else take on the circus.

You can have a gentlemans agreement, but that isn't and shouldn't be a part of any contract. Yeah, contractually agree to waive your right as an American citizen.

I realize what I'm about to say is very, overly critical, but what bothered me about his initial position, was that he really wasn't involved with any charities before. It's his money and his time, and he can certainly do what he wants with both, and he certainly should not care what I think, but if you have the resources he has, and the platform, don't just complain about a problem do something about it. Donate money to improve inter city schools, start after school programs to keep kids out of trouble, donate your time to programs that allow police officers and inner city kids to interact in a positive manner, so the two groups don't see each other as threats. There was so much he could have been doing, besides not standing. And if he was doing some of this prior, and decided to not stand, in order to bring attention to his charities, then I'd be 100% behind him. But when he was asked, and could only respond with what he planned to do in the future.

At least he followed through with what he said, which is why I don't have a personal problem with him, I just don't think he's a good QB.

You need to go read up on Camp Taylor then...I feel you're level headed here and are just missing some of the facts.
