That actually is not helpful. If charges are dropped, the NFL investigation will go forward more quickly. And even if the witnesses were drunk and don't want to show up for court, the NFL can use the police report, taking their statements at the time, as "evidence." Remember, the NFL is a kangaroo court. Our only hope of Wilson avoiding a suspension this season is for his criminal attorneys to drag the court case on. The NFL usually waits.

Did he pull a rifle on the group that was otherwise minding there own business or did the group of people threaten him first, provoking him to brandish the riffle in self defense? In Texas, you do have the right to defend yourself. I think we do not know enough information to make a final judgement here. He will get his right to due process... until then he will still be a Cowboy, IMO a starter.

Now that I have calmed down, I'm on the wait for the real facts to come out bandwagon. Early reporting in these circumstances is almost always wrong and we typically change our tune once we hear the other side. Maybe the woman stepped in front of the moving vehicle and he had no way of avoiding her. Maybe he was locking his perfectly legal firearm in his trunk or more secure area of the vehicle and they all called it brandishing. I'm not defending him at all. I think he's an idiot for having this happen but I'm at least willing to hear the actual facts and his side before proclaiming he should be cut.

When you only include violent or some kind of illegal gun possession charge then the latest arrest of Wilson is only the 2nd time since Garrett took over that a Cowboy has been accused of a violent crime. The first one was Josh Brent's charge of manslaughter.

What interests me the most are the charges that I don't ever recall hearing about. Either that or they were barely mentioned and quickly forgotten. Call me paranoid, but I'll bet if the following players had been Cowboys we would have seen a media uproar:
