The future of this team is in great hands

The message has been debunked one of the first 100 times the messenger attempted to parrot the same thing over and over.
But your still here. You really think personal attacks are going to discourage my message?

Yeah I am still here, been here before you and probably will be after you. You can continue to look Jerry obsessed all you want, its clear to the entire board what your agenda is.

And....

This isn't a popularity contest . It's a place to express and argue your opinions.

What's yours on the subject or do you just bash those you don't agree with?

If you are just going to repeat yourself and ignore rebuttal then you should spend less time whining on your cross when called on it and more time addressing the rebuttal.

I've replied to every rebuttal. What's yours? Or more whining?

And if you want a rebuttal reply directly or I might not see it. I'm back and forth on other forums and only look for alerts on replies.

Moat teams get credit for developing mid and late round picks. Here we apparently only get 'lucky.'
Until Dak what other late round picks have we developed recently ?

If you don't think we got lucky with Dak your in the minority.

I thought this wasn't a popularity contest? Hypocrisy suits you.

Brown, Swaim, Wilson, and Hitchens as well as udfa types like Beasley, Leary, Heath, and Smith. Then of course we hit on our top 100 picks too. We have more homegrown talent than anyone else. We are so successful at it we cannot keep them all and get comp picks.

Dak had not taken snaps under center at msu and was stumbling doing so in rookie mini camp. His inconsistent footwork also gave him accuracy issues in college. Notice any of that in the regular season?

He was developed by the coaching staff. That is not luck.

As a matter of fact Garrett and Romo lobbied to keep Murray. Stephen even said after letting Murray sign with Eagles that they had confidence Randle could have success behind our great OL. And with the pickup of McFadden the day after was a clear signal they were having second thoughts and concerns.

Stephen and Jerry also bundled the Dez contract letting him bluff holding out. And it was more effective with the absence of Murray. How could Jerry let Romo begin the season without Dez and Murray?

No, Sanford and Son bundled that whole situation and I can present a much better scenario and plan they should have taken with Dez and Murray if your interested . One I lobbied for while it was all unfolding not in hindsight.

You left out the part where they intended to draft a RB but it did not turn out that way.

Stephen also said they tried to trade up in the third to draft David Johnson.

And let's not forget that Murray was hurt in 2015 and forced his way out. 2014 had been his only healthy year as a Cowboy.

As for Stephen:

Stephen finds that talk "interesting," according to quotes obtained by The Associated Press (via The New York Times) and said of the changing power dynamics in Dallas, "I think probably the biggest way things have changed is that he probably has more confidence in me. Although he might not want to say that he didn't have confidence in me 20 years ago, because I think he did. I think he listened to me a lot. But did he listen as much? Maybe not.

"But he's a good listener. And I mean he listens more. In the past, he might not have had the confidence in me to listen as much, or (to) someone in the room."

The greatest display of Jerry's increased willingness to listen arguably came in the 2014 NFL Draft, when Stephen famously convinced his father to pass on Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and instead select Notre Dame tackle Zack Martin, who was converted into a guard by the Cowboys before making both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams as a rookie last season. He was the first Cowboys rookie to be named an All-Pro since Calvin Hill

The most obvious manifestation of this growing influence is the contracts. The last massive contract to an outside FA was Carr in 2012.

And then there is what I call the Steve-o Special which are 2-3 year deals for $2_4m AAV. The first were for Livings and Bernadeau in 2013. Carroll was the most recent. Short low risk deals to fill gaps and build through the draft.

The MO has clearly changed.

Michael Irvin was a body catcher also.

Irvin would body catch when it was a contested catch and he would wrap his body around the ball. Else he snatched the ball as you are taught to do.

TWILL struggles catching the ball with arms extended. Alligator arms.

I certainly wouldn't describe any of those developing to the level Dak did last year . Unless you consider Zeke as developing also?

I would agree they all have developed but they weren't stars from basically their first snap and games they performed in. They truly developed over time. Dak was like the luckiest happening in the Jerry era if not Cowboy history from his first snap. It's been widely reported and discussed Dak was a lucky pick.

And I guess it's ok for others to whine about me but not for me to whine back ?

Murray gained over a 1,000 yards in 2013 , his 1st Pro Bowl appearance while missing a couple games to injury.

The point was they didn't sense the urgency or place as high of priority in drafting Murrays replacement believing Randall and MCFadden would be enough behind their OL.

2016 draft they obviously responded with a greater sense of urgency. Lol

And I agree we're making better Cap decisions . I'm just not discounting Jerry is still involved just receiving and listening to his influence which the major difference is Garrett. I'll credit Stephen with his allegiance to Garrett which is helping influence Jerry. The more success Garrett has the more he'll listen,

Luck is a superstition for the ignorant and weak minded. It was also widely reported that they weren't.

Fact is the Cowboys drafted and developed Prescott. You were given specific examples of how that was done.

I wasn't complaining about your whinging. I was pointing out your hypocrisy ie why you should not be taken seriously.

Trying to trade up denotes a sense of urgency. That was a very deep RB draft, it was a calculated risk that did not work out.

Stephen negotiates contracts. His increased influence was also widely reported. You have done nothing to shore up your position.

If you don't believe in superstitions you've never been involved with competitive sports or close to athletes.

Truth is we drafted him to be a development at best. Our intention was never for him to start at least this soon in his career.

Your certainly entitled to your own thoughts but I feel very comfortable with mine,

Again it's an attempt to discredit the messenger because you don't like the message.

GREAT HANDS!! . Im not saying anything new here but of course after hearing Jerry speech about Stephen, I know the future of this team is great hands. Thank God for Stephen. I have the utmost confidence in the future of this team with him at his position now and in the future when he completely takes over.

I have more confidence in him as well. But we will know right away if he gets a big time head coach in here or stick with the status quo.

Stephen has been a part of the status quo here all along with Jerry.

The difference and greater influence is Jason Garrett. And Will McClay.

Stephens greatest influence might be in his allegiance with Jason which offers Garrett support when trying to influence Jerry's instincts.

And when Jerry named Garrett " the future of the Dallas Cowboys" is looking like the 2nd best decision he's made in football operations.

:lmao::laugh::lmao2:

We got lucky with Dak. Anyone arguing otherwise CONVENIENTLY forgets we WERE GOING TO TAKE COOK if he was there. Had THAT happened no Dak. We were also looking hard at others as well. We passed FOUR TIMES on Dak; so claiming that we were set on him is BS.

When did the Drafts start making more sense and begin hitting beyond the first round? 2011

When did Garrett become HC?
2011

When did we start making better decisions with the Cap?
2011

All coeincidences im sure? It's sure not looking like it from the COY. Only the 3rd in Cowboys history. Pretty good company but for some reason he isn't receiving the love from all fans?
Wonder why???

If you think Garrett manages the cap and you think that he picks the players and manages the roster then its quite clear you dont know how things work around here.
