I agree that some of the risk definitely have Jerry's stamp on them and why the process and progress has been so slow.

But blaming Garrett for the bad and not crediting him for the good is the same agenda in this not wanting to credit Jerry with better decisions.

I'm not sure where this Stephen with more control begun. Is there an official link or just opinions ?

There is no official link for you or me. I give Garrett credit for what he deserves credit for. Garrett has as little control as any HC in the NFL. What does Garrett do here and what doesnt he do? What has happened to Garrett over the years? Has Jerry given him more or less control? One would expect ANY person to get better at their job given enough time.

The players really seem to like Garrett. Like that about him. But they dont fear him. He hasnt been able to change the culture of country club Dallas.

Jerry has improved because he listens to those people around him more such as McClay and his son. And he should listen more to Garrett, but he doesnt.

Actually I credit Romo's injury for discovering the running game. I'm not sure we give Murray all of those carries unless we're protecting Romo?

You nailed it. It was virtually by mistake. But then what did the idiots do the very next year? They thought they could continue that success with the jokers they had running the ball the next year. What was the name of that criminal again? Washed out by the end of the season.

I'd agree with most of this .

That decision was basically Stephens which he spoke out how confident they were with the OL. Garrett and Romo both lobbied to sign Murray.

Agreed we were entirely too arrogant of our OL.

Personally, I didnt want to resign Murray. I wanted them to go out and use a top 3 pick on a RB. Not a #1pick. Or they could have signed a decent veteran or two that could have done well. NOT McFadden and certainly not the guy they had starting that year. Now if I could have chosen between the lot they went with or resigning Murray? I would have picked Murray. But not for 8 million per season. 5 mill for two years would have been fine.

When did the Drafts start making more sense and begin hitting beyond the first round? 2011

When did Garrett become HC?
2011

When did we start making better decisions with the Cap?
2011

All coeincidences im sure? It's sure not looking like it from the COY. Only the 3rd in Cowboys history. Pretty good company but for some reason he isn't receiving the love from all fans?
Wonder why???

You have to be willfully blind to not realize at this point that the drafting and player development of the current Cowboys team got better when Garrett took over. We argued for *years* as to whether or not it had gotten better at all. When that argument became indefensible, it fell to quibbling about how to explain an organization that had the same basic decision makers in place other than Jason Garrett and Will McClay for years suddenly turned things around without giving any credit for the turnaround to the head coach. Short answer to that was, it didn't.

McClay got promoted in 2013, as part of a process that had been improving from the jump. A bad roster has gotten a lot better. It's gotten younger and it's winning more games as a result.

And Stephen Jones is probably Jason Garrett's biggest fan in the organization, for the record. If the future is bright because of Stephen, and Jason is Stephen's guy, well...draw your own conclusions.

If you don't believe in superstitions you've never been involved with competitive sports or close to athletes.

Truth is we drafted him to be a development at best. Our intention was never for him to start at least this soon in his career.

Your certainly entitled to your own thoughts but I feel very comfortable with mine,

Again it's an attempt to discredit the messenger because you don't like the message.

I played baseball and basketball but that I'd neither here nor there. The point is there no truth to them. Sure if you feel anxiety because you don't have your luck shirt then sure wear the shirt or youll have problems but a stronger mind never has that problem.

I don't live by my horoscope either.

Well sure they expected Romo to start and the vet to back up. That is SOP. **** happened and they made the most of the opportunity using their draft pick.

You can act like we're all victims of the random and helpless in the face of luck and fate. The Romans had a saying contrary to that: Carpe Diem.

I know which I prefer.
