News: PFT: NFL announces Harold Henderson will handle Ezekiel Elliott appeal

Holy #$#%.

Discrediting the "victim"? SHE LIED. SHE TRIED TO EXTORT MONEY FROM HIM.

Attempt to discredit her? She discredited herself.

Anyone expecting the NFL to not uphold the 6 game suspension after seeing this is bonkers. They are digging in for a fight themselves.
Zeke has been discrediting himself since college and everytime he steps out in public. Just sayin'. No wonder he hooked up with her, two peas in a pod.

SMH

Wow... The NFL is not backing down. This is going to get uglier and uglier. Guess it's beyond their ability to fathom a woman plotting and lying to try and make a pile of cash and simultaneously screw over an ex-boyfriend. Naive and short-sighted.

Doesn't mean Zeke didn't hit her at some point-- but starting to look more and more like she was scheming and lying and has zero credibility. Lol-- "victim shaming". Man-- if Zeke can prove that she really has been trying to take him down-- I hope they shred in court to deter other gold-diggers from trying to frame pro athletes. Likewise-- if he really did smack her around, I hope it comes to light and he gets rightly punished.

This really could be a case of 2 messed up people both doing the wrong thing followed by the NFL valuing it's own PR image instead of actually trying to justly resolve the matter at hand for all parties. What a cluster-cuss lol

This is a calculated move by the NFL. Now they can say 4 independent (lol) people looked into it for a year and the appeal was handled by a 5th person who wasn't God-dell and they all came to the same conclusion.
This is like a fixed boxing match when the judges are on the take. You can get away with shenanigans in boxing but the NFL has cultivated an image of being squeaky clean. That image is going to be tested with this case.

This response makes it clear that the NFL disregarded ample evidence that speaks directly to her credibility for the sake of a political agenda.

Please. These days it is deplorable to shame extortionists. They have feelings too, we don't know what degree of tyranny or oppression that had to endure that forced them little choice but to seek monetary compensation.

Someone sounds bitter.
See my post above, it's not bitter, just confusing. As I said, I really don't know what to think and Zeke has way too many question marks with his own "character" to not question ANYTHING he says.

They continue to call her a victim, she is not a victim she is a gold digging liar and should be called out. I can sympathize with any woman who is being abused and I would expect her to seek justice but we also know there are woman out there who will make false claims to attack men. This would not be the 1st case of a woman falsely accusing a man. The NFL take right now seems to be well she is a woman therefore what she is saying is the truth despite the evidence showing her plotting manipulating and harassing Elliott

Good summary and seems pretty likely. The NFL badly wanted this ruling to undo their mistakes with Ray Rice-- but the more and more info that comes out-- the worse they look.

The best part is the NFL laments that the NFLPA is apparently trying to "discredit" the victim. That's the point, you tools. In cases like this, credibility is vital to the conclusion. And it's not like the NFLPA has leaked false stories to discredit her, they have released actual facts:

She did discuss extorting Elliott for money. FACT.

She did get caught lying about one of the incidents of assault. FACT.

She did harass him to the point where Elliott had to call the police. FACT.

The NFL statement reads like they believe the NFLPA is spreading false allegations here. LOL.

There's no doubt she is a gold digger but how can you say without a doubt that she's not a victim?

Let's assume this case goes to court. Despite all the leaks from Zeke's camp that just further frustrate showing what a nut case this girl appears to be, which just further frustrates the **** out of me......how does Zeke win in court? Aren't the courts just ruling on the NFL's power to adjudicate a case like this based on the CBA? Or would there be an actual trial that would determine Zeke's fate, with only a preponderance of the evidence required for the NFL to prevail? If it's the latter, Zeke could certainly win.
This is my take on all this "take it to court!" talk.
What would be the basis of the lawsuit? "I'm filing suit against you because I don't like the decision you made," is not a basis for a lawsuit. Neither is "that ain't fair!" Money damages might be a basis, but this involves a contractual relationship in which the NFL has acted within the confines and parameters of the contract. There has been no breach of contract. The NFLPA really screwed its members by accepting this disciplinary scheme, but accept it they did. And, by accepting it, they are bound by it. As a member of the NFLPA, so is Zeke. I think the federal court system would say, "we don't have a dog in this fight. You bargained for it and you contracted away any complaint you had about the process."

A simple analogy: you work for a bad boss. Your contract says that if you do anything the boss believes detrimental to the company, you can be suspended without pay for a week. The boss suspends you without pay for a week. Can you sue the company? Under the contract, the boss is not required to prove you did anything detrimental, only that he believes you did.

And that's a valid point if there wasn't a significant amount of evidence in this specific case that the victim is the one with credibility issues.

Now, I have said that maybe he did do this. The NFL, though, better have more evidence that they've kept under wraps IMO.

Why do people bring up St Patricks day, bar fight, speeding etc. This has nothing to do with his 6 Game Suspension. It is strickly on DV!!!!

Because the NFL used the St. Patrick's Day as evidence as proving a "pattern of poor judgment and behavior for which effective intervention is necessary for you personal and professional welfare.”
