I think you make it fairly clear,, The Dallas Cowboys are your employer. We have a policy that requires all employee of this organization to stand for the American Anthem. You can do your social justice stuff outside of your work hours if you choose but while at work, you will follow all company policies and procedures. Anyone that does not follow this policy, will be fined 1 game check per occurrence. For example, you refuse to stand for one game, its a one game paycheck, if you do it again, its a 2 game check fine, 3 games, 3 game check fine. etc. For all non players and coaches that violate this policy, you will be fined one week's pay per occurrence. All monies collected in fines for violation of this policy will be donated to the DFW local police units.

Let's see if their "social justice" is as important to them as their paycheck.
While it may make you feel better, you would almost certainly lose the inevitable grievance that the NFLPA would file.

They can bench any player at any time, but fining them a game check is another story. The team would likely lose that grievance.

yea, they'd lose the grievance if they fined them, but you would almost certainly derail your season and lose the locker room if you benched a player.

So every player in the locker room would agree with the kneeling? It's surprising to me that a fan of "America's Team" would be so nonchalant about something so disrespectful.

And I'll say this, Jerry and the Cowboys would be mocked without end about being America's Team and allowing this type of protest while in uniform and at the stadium.

What any team does depends on the player and their value to the team. But I Got a better question. What do you do if 20 players took a knee? Bench them all? Fine them all? Sacrifice games to show them you could care less about their views and protests?

I think every person in the locker room would agree that the coaches/owners political views should not effect the game plan, when the players are the ones putting their bodies on the line.

Imagine the ripple effect that could easily occur, if Tyron Smith decided not to stand. As a fan you may not care, but i garuntee that even a guy like Jason Witten would be livid if we benched Tyron and that game Dak gets blind sided and misses the rest of the season.

But yet it's OK for the player's political views to affect the game? Keep the politics out of it. The circus it would create on this team would be incredible and something this team doesn't need. I agree, the players are the ones putting their bodies on the line but the owner is paying them.

Jerry Jones has made a fortune off the America's Team image. Any player that purposefully tarnishes that image by disrespecting the flag should be benched. And it wouldn't surprise me in the least if word didn't trickle down to the team behind closed doors that it won't be tolerated.

I guarantee you the day that teams did that in mass the game would lose even more of it's luster. These fools would be cutting their own throats and biting the hand(s) that feed them. As a fan, I love football. But I love the country more.

And how much of an impact does not standing for the anthem prior to the game have? Our own owner, doesn't even think all of our player arrest effect the actual games themselves. Benching a player, that you spent all week preparing to be a contributor can easily be decimating.

It's amazing what fans will and won't tolerate at times.

It has a huge impact on the image of the NFL. And the controversy and negative attention it causes could spread to the locker room.

I don't believe that.

They would. If that started happening I think that would get me to quit watching.
