It's time to start taking Noah Brown seriously

Any chance he's going to play in the game this weekend?

Don't know, but I assume it depends on how he practices.

They've been really cautious rehabbing guys, so if he's back at practice then he must be 100%.

If the Cownoys keep their best 53 players regardless of position then Brown would stay.

Unfortunately, at this point, it would probably take an injury or trade. Due to circumstances, the Cowboys are forced to go heavy at a few positions like DE and possibly QB.

If it comes down to keeping Cooper Rush or Brown, I'm choosing Cooper each and every time. QB's are much, much harder to find than WR's. You can
find WR5's in every draft and that's all Brown would be this year. Now if he makes it to the PS that's just fine with me. Not much chance of Brown making the 53 with 4TE's, 5CB's and 5 safeties on tap. Can't skimp on OL or DL either. Switzer is going to make the 53 that's for sure along with Rico.

He was supposed to be this raw, unpolished WR who really excelled at blocking. I'm thinking ok, they found themselves another Vince Mayle. We used a pick to draft Zeke's homeboy. Cool, but best case scenario he's stashed on the practice squad.

He's getting snatched up by someone else if you don't put him on the 53 now.

His route running looks exceptional. He looks like a natural hands catcher. And he's shown some YAC ability.

@4:10 there is so much to get excited about. First he hits the CB with the saucy Cole Beasley hesi, and then breaks inside to create plenty of separation for Rush to throw the ball. Then he easily plucks the ball out of the air using only his hands. Next, YAC alert. He jukes the safety, turns up field and has the strength to break the arm tackle of the CB. The fumble obviously is a concern, but that's a lot of WOW in one play.

Another nasty route where he makes a CB look foolish. Easy 6.

Turns Marquez White completely around.

Brice Butler is a FA after this season and this team needs another outside WR moving forward. Noah Brown looks like he can be that guy.

And he's only 20.

maybe he can add another 10-15 pounds and be a TE? he has blocking skills as a WR and a little bigger would make a good TE......but as a WR, we are 5 deep. and the 6th WR will often be inactive on game day.

LOL why would we want to do that? He's the fastest wide receiver we got. Besides, Dak seems to like going to him deep. Noah Brown is not as fast and I don't know why people here like him so much.

He's the 4th or 5th receiver on the depth chart, and he's not going to be on the roster next season (FA). The bottom of the depth chart is where you churn while developing young talent. Noah also plays on all the ST, which Brice Butler does not. Noah is a Terrence Williams type of player, block first mentality, but with better hands and upside. Plus he has very good RAC ability as well.

With 2 slot WRs, Butler is the only outside WR backup if they just keep 5.

Dwayne Harris for playing time because he was a really good blocker. Brown was the best blocking WR I"ve seen in college football.

I'll be glad when they cut Brown just so this thread will die.

Brown was good in college? Oh, great that changes everything.

He was ok, but in fairness OSU doesn't throw the ball too much. I mean, he should go to the practice squad...what's the big deal?

If it were me I cut Moore, go with Rush as #2 since they aren't winning squat without Prescott anyhow.

No one will claim Moore and I bring him back once he clears waivers as a ps guy or assistant coach.

Brown isn't close to being an number one or even two now, but I think he has #2 potential down the road. There is a little Boldin to his game if he has the work ethic to match. Very physical, good hands and average speed.

And if Dez or Williams gets hurt, Butler is the first guy that gets moved up to replace them as neither Beasley or Switzer can do that on the outside.

And if Noah is retained it would be Noah, thought that would be obvious.

It just doesn't make roster sense to keep Brown I think. You can work it to fit him in but you have to run short at some place more vital then WR. It feels like you have to steal that spot from one of the lines, and depth there isn't the best on the oline and the Dline has the suspensions forcing the team to keep people they might not otherwise. And if we do keep Brown I just don't see how he makes it past the activation of Moore and Irving. DE to start the year Crawford, LAwrence, Tapper, Taco, Mayowa. If there's someone they like I can see a 6th being kept. DT to start the year Collins, Paea, Thronton, Neal. I don't think Ivey or Carroll are making enough splash to keep one of them right now. CB Scandrick, Carrol, Brown, Awuze, Lewis. I wouldn't be surprised to see either Thompson or White also be kept. S Jones, Heath, Woods, Frazier. Blanton is probably odd man out unless ST goes on the table for him. I doubt we go short at LB, considering that seems to be where we get the core of our ST. TE i think is pretty much fixed, barring injury. QB is going to be 3 at this point, unless Rush bombs in the next two games. OLine I think we have to go heavy because you can't trust Green and they will want to throw numbers at the possible problem. OT Smith, Collins, Green, Bell or Cleary. OG Martin, Cooper, Looney. C Fredrick. I could see Bell and Cleary being kept or them adding someone at the cut down if they think they can upgrade.

You can carve out a space for WR6, but I'm guessing he'd be the first player cut if anyone gets dinged up in week 1. Rico Gathers I am sure wouldn't clear waivers, hes too interesting a set of tools to let clear. Cooper Rush, I'm not sold on yet, but Qb who show anything usually don't clear waivers unless they have a bad contract. A WR who has some nice traits but doesn't seem to have one elite one is someone who can clear waivers or who you might could replace in the next draft cycle without having a huge investment into it.

Don't see all 3 of Bell, Cleary and Looney making 53. Guys are nothing special. Carroll sucks. And Nzeocha and Durant are in real danger as well. Wilson is a moron who's having trouble tackling but I would cut him for his stupidity. Wilber is dime a dozen.

Brown or smith ?

Noah, Rico, Rod, Awuzie, Woods, Jaylon, starting OL, Zeke are all young guys who play with a passion that is violent and physical. This is the new face of the team. Cowboys are building a team of Dez Bryant's at every position. Not talking about talent level, but the tude to dominant and just crush the opposition, not enough to just win.

The old guys like Witt, OScan and Lee love it because they also embrace the same, just not as vocally or as visually. Need more guys on D however.
