dear members---my eyes were not playing tricks on me...this whole off season i have been worried about what i saw as a lack of velocity on Daks throws and what appeared as a slower release...but after last night i can see the ball had noticeable more velocity and his release noticeably quicker...wow i am both a little surprised He could have fixed those issues in a few short months but he did...and this makes me very happy...there will be no sophmore slump

Dak's work ethic and intelligence are a big reason he is going to be the face of the NFL in the not-too-distant future.

Exactly, that is why he was able to make the jump to NFL as a rookie starter better than any player in history. Given time, he will use the same drive and intelligence to be one of the best players in the game.

If I had to choose between which of our 2016 rookie sensations I'd prefer to be a level-headed perfectionist and which I'd choose to be an immature bonehead, I'd say I'm happy Dak isn't the one pulling down women's tops and acting like a child.

Another reason the Zeke suspension doesn't have me too bummed out anymore. I'm not trying to belittle Zeke, but this team is only going as far as Dak will take them. And this kid is so mentally and physically cued in, it's like he was born to win.

I was thinking the same when I watched the Raiders preseason game highlights. It seems like he has more zip in his passes, reminded me of Romo for a bit. He's still improving, that's crazy. I hate how they're still saying Wentz will still be a better QB. Why? Because he was drafted 2nd overall so he needs to be better? I wouldn't trade Dak for any QB in the NFL.

He's always had a strong arm, more likely he's comfortable and confident within the offense and his decision making.

Dak has freakishly large hands, like 99%ile since measurement data started becoming publically available from the combine.

There's a reason why GMs place a value on that for QBs, the amount of torque you can put on the ball plays directly into velocity. Especially on those intermediate throws.

That's why Aikman had a cannon too. Next time he does a game of ours check out his mitts compared to Joe Buck. My father and I used to laugh at that for years.

His arm strength has never been a problem - my chief complaint for him coming out of college was his footwork.

He's fixed it in spades and is throwing with his core and leg strength now and not throwing flat-footed. Dez Bryant walks in for 6 last night if the DB doesn't tackle him before the ball arrives on that deep ball, and at a minimum Dez lays out for the catch.

The most impressive throw of the night. They are dialed in. You're not going to get a high percentage on those throws but that was an inch from being perfect. I expect to see a lot of big plays between those 2 in 2017.

Watch the replay -- the corner literally drags him down.

More impressive? Dak looks off the safeties to get Dez one on one on the outside.

I still don't get how that wasn't pass interference.

Yeah, Dak's hands are even larger than Brett Favre's, Drew Brees' or Russell Wilson's.:omg:
Brady has huge hand as well, but he's one of the few that doesn't have it registered.
Good company for Dak in any case.

Paxton Lynch's hands dwarf all of them that are registered.
Not that its helped him so far:muttley:

TRUTH. Of all of the positions you want an elite product, it's QB and you'd hate to trade elite talent and work ethic with a boneheaded demeanor that could jeopardize a career and take games away from their participation.
Be thankful for that.

Let it be the eminently replaceable RB, rather than the oh-so-hard to replace QB.
