NFLPA Files Temporary Restraining Order! **merged**

So I have a question.....The Nfl games are huge in the betting world....so by Goodell ruling randomly and suspending certain players for b.s does that open up the Nfl to be investigated for game fixing and or racketeering?... This Zeke suspension directly affects the outcomes of games
Very good question!!

The NFL is just trying to save face and it don't sound like the judge is buying into the NFL's side.

Could it possibly end up being a 6 game "fine" rather than game suspensions?

Pretty sure Jerry could work that into the budget.

I am confused by this line of thinking. Follow me here...

In that scenario, Zeke loses out both in court and in the NFL "process". What grounds would the NFL have to file, and who would they file against?
Took the words out of my mouth

Question on nflpa filing tro with this specific court. Ive been hearing from every media outlet today that if granted injunction, and nfl appeals to 5th circuit court, that they are conservative and tend to rule in favir of management in labor cases. Is the media wrong? If not why didnt they file in a district with more favorable chance when nfl appeals? Any help ia appreciated.

The fifth circuit is in New Orleans. The NFL should fear having legal proceedings in that city.

They wanted it anywhere but NY. The 5th circuit may be more conservative but that doesn't mean they will automatically side with management. That means they are more likely to side with the law and not be activists. If Kessler thinks the law is on their side, then that's where you want to be.
