Matt Ryan is so much better than Dak. Ryan and Jones are a perfect fit. Rodgers makes any WR better. Hell even Romo made guys better. Dak is not that guy. Doesent mean you cant win with Dak. You need alot to go right for him to win. So sure Dez def desreves a ton of blame. A ton. I just think we have to accept what we have and some how work around that to make it all better

Matt Ryan after 19 NFL games is so much better than Dak? Because you can only base Dak vs other QBs 1st 19 games.

Once Denver laid out what they were going to do......play action and Lead Draw was needed. Attempt to make them double down on 8 plus in the box......
***
Dez......It well seems Dez on slants and crossing routes, where he knows his head gets taken off if he floats his routes too much---does a much better job running the expected routes......put him in those routes alot more---

out on the sidelines, he thinks he can just out physical guys.......not happening, not gonna happen

Braddus has a man crush on Dak so bad.. one of the main reasons why the "its Dak team now" movement took over.. he started bleating about it after 2 Dak wins.. Absolutely loves him... I take any analyse he does (particularly of Dak) with a large grain of salt...

No receivers open... far out the TV coverage highlighted them ffs.. and they were obvious to see during live play too.. and I suppose the passes that sailed high last week were the receivers fault too?? Uh huh.

The only thing worse than the game is the attemps by most to analyze it.

Everyone is being blamed but one of the worst offender rarely gets much blame and the other didn't get enough blame.

For instance, people saying La'el was terrible, have no clue. He shut down Miller for about 3 quarters until the Cowboys had to pass on every snap and Dak had to hold the ball longer trying to get back into the game.

The blame should all go to Dez and Zeke.

The Cowboys formula is to use a super running game to make it easier for a young QB to have succees and to help a very young defense.

Zeke looked distracted and possibly unmotivated. He also looked sluggish and possibly too heavy. Hopefully it was just the altitude.

Dez can't consistently get open. He is a QB-UNfriendly #1 WR. He runs out of bounds on many sideline routes and is the worst route runner of any #1 WR that I've seen. It is obvious when he does not expect to get the ball because he barely even runs on those plays. His run blocking is comical.

Fix those 2 issues and everyone gets better. That would reduce the amount of time the defense is on the field and drastically help Dak.

If they could magically replace Dez with Julio Jones or even Jordy Nelson, the Cowboys would be a completely different team.

Amazing that you title an thread misplaced blame and then blame 2 players that had little to do with the loss!

It's really amazing how Dez was a No. 1 receiver mentioned among the best in the league when Romo was at quarterback and now he can't run routes, can't get open, etc. I think it's definitely more of a Dak problem than a Dez problem and hopefully it gets fixed soon.

If I were Dak, I'd go back and watch film of what Romo and Dez were doing to connect. I don't think Dez has fallen off as much as Dak simply doesn't understand or trust how to use his talents.

I do want to add this, though: The league the past few years is allowing DBs to play much more physical instead of calling them for all of the illegal contact. The first couple of games, the DBs have been allowed to be very physical with Dez to the point where some of that contact should be called.
that appears to be all the buzz when Garrett pointed out Dak's game.

Nah i didn't get that feeling last year. Broaddus clearly stated a few times that he wanted Romo to come back and lead the team and when Romo didn't he wasn't to thrilled. He basically said if that's the coaches decision we just move on from the player.

But i agree dak did have a few bad throws. Just need to remember, he's only in his 2nd year and it takes several years before a qb becomes a well polished and complete player! Patience y'all. These things don't happen overnight! If he's making the same mistakes in his 3rd and 4th year....then you start to get really worried.

You are on a lonely island here.

Dak has more targets than any receiver in the league. Him or Hopkins.

He's 50th on the league in receptions.

He's a second-tier receiver at best.

Are you sure it wasn't Doug Free's fault?

He doesn't have a man crush. Don't know where you are getting that from. I have heard him criticize him many times.
