You want to compare that running game and receiving corps to what Dak has? Good gosh.
You mean that running game that didn't even get 10 yards last game? Zeke is better than any rb philly has, but he was a nonfactor yesterday. Wentz got more help from his running game than dak last game while dak played the number one passing defense and they still scored a similar amount of points.

I don't think he's this bad but I also don't think he's some stud QB like many Cowboys fans were propping him up to be. I think he'll be an Alex Smith type going forward. So yeah I do think he's kind of a game manager. I just don't see elite arm talent or accuracy. Hopefully he can improve and prove a lot of people wrong. I thought Russel Wilson was a game manager but I think more highly of him now.

honestly those aren't bad points by Williams and its likely he is correct. I don't see anything wrong with Dak being game manager (bus driver). Now you need really good running game & defense to go with that. Dallas has good running game and is work in process on defensive rebuild.
You're right. A bus driver is not a bag thing at all, but the people who call Dak that are doing it to discredit the great rookie season he had. I just hope we get it together so these people can go back to sounding foolish.

He was a stud qb last year. Brady wasn't a stud qb his early years in the regular season (not talking what he did in playoffs). Go look at his stats.

He was studly because of his efficiency. Not taking anything away from him. I love that he doesn't turn the ball over. That's a great attribute to have from a game manager. Just saying I don't think he can carry a franchise like Drew Brees by throwing for 5000 yards.

I bet Alex Smith had better QB ratings at times than guys like Brees or Stafford or Rivers that have to air it out for their team to have a chance.

Just saying it's not an insult to him to be called a game manager. With the caveat that anything is possible, it just doesn't look like he has elite QB talent.

I've watched both Dak and Wentz games this year, and I can tell you that Wentz is spinning circles around Dak with virtually no running game. The Eagles QB looks poised and not afraid to let it loose. Wentz did play a bad Commanders secondary but he looked very good against the Chiefs on the road.

Dak is his own problem right now and he needs to figure it out.
He had a 53% completion percentage, threw a pick and fumbled twice. They got a weird definition of very good out there in South Philly.

I was listening to one of the Sirius NFL shows when Williams popped up as a guest speaker. Here are a few of his comments about Dak:

  • I've been saying all along, Dak is a game manager.
  • Dak can't win a game like a Brady can.
  • Zeke is the reason more than Dak that the Cowboys won so much last year
  • There's a reason Dak was only a 4th round pick. You saw why yesterday

One freaking bad game and the cockroaches come out of the woodwork.

I do agree hes not a Tom Brady.

Bull, he is just having some accuracy issues this season. I love how quick every one is pile on, he is a young QB there are going to be some ups and downs.
Also, it's no creativity in offense. Seems we do not make adjustments to what others are doing to us. We run very few crossing routes with multiple receivers-

Its not hate at all. I love the kid. I think its the complete overrating him last year. I had to hear he is better than Brady etc. It drove me crazy. Why are obessed if one of our players are better than anyone. Just like our defense is awesome blah blah blah. Come on. Just slow down a bit. Let the kid play. I never bought into we have our QB for the next 12 years. Not yet. Lets see what happens. Ill root hard for the guy. What choice do i have really. I know this old news and it should stay old news. I always thought Romo should have got his job back and how they handled it sucked. But thats over with now. Nothing we can do. So ill root for this kid as hard as i can. But just slow down guys. Dak is not Tom Brady and never will be. But who cares if he is not. If Dak is our QB than this team has to be built to his capabilities. We need a great running game and ball control and mostly the lead. Thats how we will win games. But Dak has to the ball 40 times a game most likely we will lose.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen that many strawmen stuffed into a single wall of text. Good show

We don't need Dak to throw for 5,000 with the OL we have and Zeke as the rb. Why are people putting limits on Dak after a total of 19 games into his career? Only Dak knows what he can or cannot do.

Did you just reduce the top RB and running attack in the league last year to a single game in Denver?

DeAngelo is a known Cowboy hater and said we were one of the teams he would never play for. So he apparently has some kind of axe to grind.

The issue with Dak is a lot like Tebow. Tebow was this kid that seemed to have it all, so people had to find things to bring him down. It's a sick society we live in. Dak is a talented young QB and is going to go through some growing pains as he develops. What is funny is that I see people saying that he has sucked in both games this year. Not sure when completing 60+ percent of your passes at just under 7 yds per attempt and a TD with no int and adding in 24 yds on the ground became labelled as a "suck" game.

We have all seen big time QB's like Brady and Rodgers have bad games, heck, against the same Broncos team. I saw Romo throw five interceptions in a game. I think Aikman may have also. They need to back things down a little, get him outside the pocket more and everything will be alright.

Denver had a run defense ranked in the 20s last year and Zeke is running behind one of the best o lines in the league. He had around 10 yards. Why no concern over our number 1 pick? Because its one game. Yet lets call dak a game manager because of a game in which we got zero help in the run game and is playing the number 1 pass defense

Show me other game managers with arguably the best rookie season on record

Dak had to throw the ball 50+ times.. What is Manning or Rodgers' records when they throw the ball that much!? Brady is pretty damn good but he's about the only one!
