Ambar Garcia needs to go

i used to really like listening to The Break on the Cowboys website but it had become to0 painful to follow. Ambar Garcia has no business being on that show. She has limited football knowledge and is a babbling fool that is not articulate in an way.

I like the dynamic of having a woman on the show but have someone that knows the game - even understanding the basics would help - and can speak clearly.

There are woman out there that know the game, are well spoken and can speak Spanish.

I can't listen to this show anymore.

What is your take people?

My take is while I can agree with some of the stuff your saying it isn't big enough to whine about on a messageboard imo. I don't think she's not "articulate" which I really need most people to stop saying as if they are some scholar or something. It always comes off as a unnecessary diss to make yourself feel bigger while putting someone down. I just think her English isn't the greatest and if she was speaking Spanish would be better off.

I agree she doesn't seem to know much about football and when you're unfortunately stereotyped for being a woman by some in the first place they could at least get a woman that somewhat knows what's going on. For the most part since she doesn't know much I do like she doesn't really interject like she does or maybe I miss them shows.

My take is who cares if there are qualified women? Why would that be a point of emphasis for the show? Put the best people on there and quit worrying about diversity.

I'd take two Ambar Garcia's over one Mickey Spagnola. All Mickey does is complain and destroy every conversation by pretending he doesn't understand the questions.

Taylor has already been completely neutered on Talkin' Cowboys, at least she had some personality on The Break, but every segment she tries to introduce to spur a conversation, Mickey just starts acting like an idiot and tries to grind the whole thing to a halt.

I agree to an extent the diversity argument is played out, especially when people who are under qualified or not qualified at all are considered because they are not a white man.

I understand from a PR standpoint why it's necessary but people need to be judged on the content of their character in addition to their abilities/skills. You're either qualified or you're not, there are outliers where it doesn't apply but that should be the exception not the rule.

For the record, I am not a white man.

I stopped listening/watching The Break and Talkin' Cowboys last year.

Reading the accounts of the shows here, I definitely made the right decision.

Even with Broaddus and everyone else, they're not good shows.

If they should, they should fire everyone and hire an entire new staff. The post says more about Risen Star than it does about these run of the mill shows with poor production quality.

I'm glad they put Helman on a show regularly, though I like him with Broaddus the best. Ambar is pretty annoying with her "always confrontational" schtick. I don't think it's fair to lump her and Taylor together. Taylor has come a long way and offers good insight and she doesn't seem stuck up at all. I also miss Nate and Mickey on the same show. For those of you complaining you better be happy you follow the Dallas Cowboys. Most teams don't have awesome production and media like this team. Especially 3 daily shows a week.

They are running a business and they are trying to attract more customers. We live in a diverse country and they assume having a diverse staff may help attract a more diverse and thus larger customer base. I agree that is smart business, but you have to have the right people.

Well we can't really talk about this here, or at least one side can't, so let me say this and be done with it. If someone can't enjoy a sports show or a sport in general unless they see people like them involved in it, that person may be the true bigot.

If I was watching a show like that I would be watching for good content. Not what the panel of hosts look like. I'm weird like that.

They've lowered the volume on Amber's Mike which has improved it for me. I don't mind her, and I like Nick, Helman and Derek.

I always like Tay, but something about her being a host has changed it for me. She's a good host, but she changes how she talks in order to sound more professional or something, I dunno. She's not as good as she used to be. Right now she just agrees with everything Broaddus says and disagreess with Micky, haha.

I will never understand why Spagnola is on any talk show. He hates the fans and uses every opportunity to basically call them idiots.
