It doesn't matter. He caved to the players over the fans.

This is about Us, not the players. We pay. I don't care what the players opinion is on race, religion, social injustice etc. They are entertainers at the end of the day. Keep politics off the field just like I don't care what anyone hollywood actor thinks. This is not their platform.

Where was all this anger about GET POLITICS OUTTA SPORTS whenever Tom Brady was walking around the Pats locker room with a MAGA hat?

Let's be real, here. You only care about POLITICS IN SPORTS when it's not YOUR viewpoint at the forefront.

Players are people just like you and me. They are human.

And as for the owners siding with the players over the fans, that's the smart business decision. The players are what enable these owners to make millions of dollars. The star players drive the entire league's revenue. Without them, the owners have nothing. They know where their bread is buttered. The fan? There's millions of us, and it takes a lot to make us mad enough to stop watching games (and therefore advertising), stop buying merchandise, stop playing fantasy football, stop buying Madden....It's a good bet that not enough of us will stop to hurt the bottom line.

So why in the world would the owners side with anyone except their players? The players hold a lot of cards in that relationship.

Dude, you are high. It's the fans money that keep this going. Without fans, there is no NFL

And dude, I've been a fan since 1975 so that tells you my experience with the Cowboys. I've weathered it through the many years and I haven't been this pissed ever. I feel like Jerry punched me in my stomach. Just wait until tomorrow when us real fans get their shot at Jerry. This is going to blow up in the NFL face. Who has the most popular jersey in the NFL. The tackle for the Steelers who was the only player to appear from the locker room and put his hand over his heart in respect.

They took a knee in silent prayer and then stood up locked arm in arm for the national anthem. I think if you find something offensive about that, you are looking real hard to be offended. It was respectful to the fans.
Yeah, I'm offended. Here's what better. How bout every Cowboy lining up and holding their hand over their heart while the Anthem is played. That's unity. I could give a crap about silent BS prayer and locking arm in arm.

So they didn't do it exactly the way you want. It could have been much worse. You can't always have it your way. You got to pick your battles and take the little wins when they come. They showed respect to the flag and fans.

I have no issue with what the cowboys team did prior to the anthem. They did not upstage the anthem, it was classiest show of "solidarity" that actually meets a middle ground. I would have been disappointed if they would have done what other teams did, they did not "show up" the anthem

Yeah, and that will last all of a week.

Also, not enough fans are going to be mad enough to affect the bottom line.

Without the players, there is no NFL.
