It's time to ponder some realities

You can't really analyze a game from watching it live. You can't watch Dak and the receivers at the same time.

I'll verify on All-22 this week. If you're correct I'll admit to it.

So you are going to verify whether or not I understand what I just saw or football in general? I have the all 22 also.

I like how you have told me in three straight posts I dont know anything and you have this in depth analysis that I could never comprehend or do myself.

Do me a favor dont respond to me.

and eyesight.

I'm big on that. If I can see it right in front of me I tend to believe it.

for instance Jason Witten was wide open for an easy td and the ball was thrown terribly and he had no chance to catch it.

get back to me on your analysis on that.

I just watched Dak put it right on the numbers of TWill and he dropped it.

Did you see the ball go through the hands of Dez when Dak threw it low to avoid the defenders?

WRs are not getting open and Zeke is sluggish compared to last sesson.

Both true. Also, passing 60% of the time this year when they were almost perfectly balanced last year probably isn't helping matters. They're passing about 50% of the time on 1st down through 3 games, and last year they were running 62% of the time on 1st down.

Just watched a perfect throw bounce off of TWill again.

Just watched what initially appeared to be an over-throw by Dak but on 2nd take Dez ran within a few feet of another receiver which means it was a bad route. Routes are never designed that way.

The receiving corp is slow (Bryant) or unable to go up against a DB (Beasley), or unable to make a hard catch (Williams), then either Witten has lost a step or he has to help with the protection scheme, and what do you get. Elliott is double teamed and Prescott throws it away.

Just watch a 3rd and 10 with 41 seconds remaining and the shortest route was 14 yards. They rushed six and a blitzer was in Dak's face before any receiver had looked back.

With 41 seconds 3rd down should be like 2nd down. Some yards would be OK because they're going to go on 4th down anyway.

I'm not worried about Dak. You can win with his level of play. Maybe not with his level of play and a defense that can't stop anyone, but Dak is more than good enough to get the job done. His accuracy is down which isn't good to see but he's still making plays and giving his team a chance to win. He's a young player and will work to get better. He may not have the same year he had last year in some regards but last year was a special year.

He's being asked to pass a lot more, his OL isn't as steady, the running game isn't where it was last year, he has to hold the ball simply because the offense doesn't have a lot of speed. For whatever reason Beasley's quickness and ability to get open off the line has been underutilized. Also, he gets little help in the way of scheming. He's better on the move and should be rolling out more than he has been. Dallas lined up in a formation they usually don't today and Moose channels his inner Romo to accurately call the play as a QB draw.

Too early for me to worry about Dak.

Restarted the game. Dak just put a pass into both hands of Dez on a 35 yard throw and Dez couldn't come down with it.

Dak is performing well for his 2nd season. I'm not sure what everyone is asking for him to do? He can't go 29/29 and lead the offense to 35 points per game. This isn't FBS/FCS football.
It's certainly a cumulative effort as the team does look sluggish. However, no team will win consistently with such bad defensive play. It ain't gonna happen. Be prepared for these types of games for the rest of the year. If the offense has an off night we'll continue to see a replay of the wk 2 Broncos game......

Dez just got wide open, right after a defender sacked Dak.

The same people lauding Dak probably hated Romo early on too, and in their pinhead revisionist states, now they're using him as their comparison.

Dak roll out perfect pass to TWill, 25 yards in the air, 1st down.

2nd and 7. Shortest route is 9 yard comeback. Dak throws the ball away due pressure.

Sack before any receiver turns around.

Dak steps up in pocket, 1st down pass to Dez.

I'm really surprised at Daks regression in the pocket this year as well. He never looked half as uncomfortable in any game last year in the pocket as he has in all 4 so far this year.

This is really surprising. Would love to understand what's happened there. Trying to learn too much in a short period of time?

I agree with everything you have said. But I think last year he was playing based off instinct. This year he is thinking too much and the coaches are probably pounding it in his head to get Dez involved, stay in the pocket at all costs etc. That is what it looks like to me.

Dak gets hit but still hit TWill for 1st down.
