I start my NFL-free weekend

I'm going to start my NFL free weekend by watching one game, my team and not much else. Same as always. Other games don't interest me much, never have.

I'm going to church this morning. While I am there I will take a knee and say a prayer thanking god for good people like you that just want their NFL viewing experience free of politics that disrespects the flag and those that defend it. We have a rare noon kickoff in Dallas so I'm hoping the preacher has the congregation out the door in time to catch the game.

I'm fortunate the church I attend has 3 services so I'll be attending the 8AM. Like always, I'll take a knee as a sign of surrender to my Creator.

Once a year, I visit the Iwa Jima Memorial Replica in Harlingen Tx. Can't help but to get a little emotional when walking around the huge statue. One of the flag raisers was a Valley native.

Yeah, I believe in separation of NFL and politics. I'm hoping for a return of the Doomsday Defense and a 50 pt offense. Not asking too much.

But the NFL corporate offices aren't laughing. Boycotts are just getting started in all NFL cities from the ticket sales to the boycotting of NFL sponsors to the full refunding of TV NFL Packages. You will lose, and lose Royally.
