I also doubt she could prove it in a civil suit, where it only requires a "more likely than not" verdict. It's more likely Elliott would win a civil suit, if he sued her. How come no one has asked Goodell about this? I thought they used a similar standard, for finding the player responsible.
There's nowhere that says the NFL uses a similar standard to what a civil court may use. Past cases have been similar, but that's just how the NFL has operated...not because there's some type of guideline that says they need to operate like a civil court case.
The problem with EE trying to sue Thompson is that she has not been arrested. She should have been arrested for lying to police and tampering with a witness. But since the gutless DA in Columbus is too afraid to do so in fear of 'victim shaming' a female, EE in all likelihood doesn't have a case.
All we do know at this point is Goodell is terrified of taking the stand and is doing everything possible to not be forced to take the stand. If that does happen, then maybe we can get some real answers from this carny.
