This game will define the coaching staff

As usual the coaching staff will recieve very little credit in a win but most of the blame in a loss.

If there has ever been a must win game this is it. Would a bad season cost Garrett his job? Probably not but it would cost mareneli for sure. The 49ers are better than their record indicates but s are the boys. I think we will roll the them but f we don't this will be a long season.

If anyone needs this game to define Garrett and the staff, they've missed the boat. They've already been defined. Games like these only confirm what we already know.

Why should they receive praise for beating a 0-6 team to get to 500?

And why shouldnt they be lambasted for losing to an 0-6 team and our record falling to 2-4?

I would say this is a bad example for your point. If they were going into Denver or playing some great team that might apply.

If I knew that losing this game would cost Garrett his job, I would gladly sit back and revel in a total blowout.:flagwave:

there should be zero reason to lose,

but i will credit Garrett if the team plays dominant. If it has to struggle to win, that will say plenty too. Granted injuries change the view as well. Garrett can win big today. if its dominant or good, than ill credit Garrett. if its bad, well i wont bash unnessisarly either. gotta keep it in perspective. You wont find me starting a thread to bash him.

This game scares me just a little bit. San Fran's point differential for an 0-6 team is only -33. Four of their losses are on the road. I believe we win this game, but if it's only by 3 pts I won't be surprised.

They have been defined. This game will even further prove that or cover more warts :D
pretty much this

coming out and playing flat, uninspired football with no adjustment, no playcalling creativity, and no situational awareness will just further cement the already majority opinion that this coaching staff has no freaking clue. A close win will be credited to the players' talent overcoming bad coaching. And a blowout win won't do much to reverse the faith in coaching but it would be a start

This game will have no defining factor about the coaching staff. We already know we have a good HC and OC the DC needs to retire, this thread just defines the poster

That is mostly because if they win, they executed the game plan or the opponent did not execute theirs. Or did not need to make many adjustments that deemed critical.

it is the adjustments the coaches docent make when behind, or ahead and do not adjust to keep the lead that gets them blamed and rightfully so.
How many times has AR burned us late in games, and they still can't or don't have an answer for that. We had the Rams down, and they can't adjust either.

Past history of games show this same pattern. But yet they do the same thing over and over.

i think after eight years the hc has pretty much been defined I think the season as a whole will really what will define this staff if they win 8 games or less then you pretty much know what they are a mediocre staff that really needs to be replaced

These Cowboys are known for allowing some crazy stat or something. I don't put it across JG or this team to do something that will keep the 49ers in this game. The 49ers know it and are licking their chops.

I just saw a stat that shocked me we've lost five out of our last seven games.

Unbelievable thanks coaching staffs

Double standard.

In the NFL , On Any Given Sunday is always in play. Every win is a quality win. This isn’t the NCAA where your looking to move up in the polls .

We didn’t do the same thing over and over last year winning several games at the end could have gone the other way. That’s reality in the NFL. There’s often a fine line associated with winning or losing.

49ers a great example losing 5 of their 6 I believe by 3 points or less. But yet theyre considered a poor team because they haven’t won any games.

The NFL is a sum sport. There’s a winner and a loser. Often the margin of defeat is very minimal with a play or two deciding actual differential in how we’d otherwise measure a team.
