If there was ever a massive glaring weakness for an opponent, its apparent to a blind man in this game.
San Francisco is absolutely bottom line, horrid in defending the slot.
If Cole is not a focal point of the game plan than heads should roll.
There should be no more excuses for this coaching staff, this isn't brail.

This will be meaningful for the season but other then film study by the staff it's next opponent up.

. Beating a winless team tells us sweet FA. Losing does mean something.

What do define mean?

I believe the 49ers are actually better than their record shows and when they switched quarterbacks last week, they almost beat a good Washington team in Washington.

Garrett's history here has been to win these kinds of games either quite easily or with strong comebacks late in the game, which brings back the optimism and the "on the right track now" media quotes and super bowl fan talk. That said, the Cowboys should win this type of game so a win proves very little. If they lose however, I think it will say a lot about the team and the coaching staff.

A win will be meaningful for much needed momentum to turn this slow start around.
A loss to SF will be devastating for this team coming off a bye.

No matter overall talent or coaching this is the bottom line.

Yeah it's a big game.

I guess in the minority and say a win *could* be a start to define the staff this season. If they shellack the 49ers who have played teams pretty close, I think it'd say a lot.

A loss would be pretty devastating. Would be hard to imagine making a run if we drop this game.

On another note, given the importance of this game and the boards overall sentiment, the game thread should be a real doozy.

As usual, I expect us to come out flat and completely unready to play. I expect San Fran to exploit something they found on film and us to have to scramble to stop it. I expect us to get down early and have to rely on Dak to bring us back. If none of this happens then I will be surprised because this has been the MO in the JG era.

What if they lose to San Francisco and Washington and then beat Kansas City and Atlanta.
2 - 2 either way NFL is crazy.
I don't think losing to San Francisco would be a good sign but really you need to look at the next four to five games to decide what's what

If this team cant beat a winless opponent with 2 weeks to prepare.......................well, not much to say

And for those saying this game is just next opponent up and no big deal, go look at what percentages of teams with 2-4 records make the playoffs.

Its important to win of course but I suggest that Garrett's ' methodical style reduces mental disturbance. Of course there comes a time the losses pile one on up the other then the pressure of losses come to bare. But the method bares longer.jmo

I've got no idea what a win means, but if we lose, you're staring at a sub .500 season and hopefully a whole staff change.

If I was there coach I would tell them they need to win three out of the next four games or their probably done
