We didn't "play better" when Lee was in. We got dominated by the Broncos.

Also, our run defense wasn't exactly what I call stout today.

You're cherry picking the Broncos game which was an absolute avalanche. Are you arguing that we're not a better defense with Lee in the line up? That's absurd. True we were gashed in the run game somewhat but it was more "bend don't break" as we tightened up on every drive. All I'm saying is IMPROVEMENT. That's all.

The rate that WR's have passes go thru their hands and end up being intercepted is way less than the dropped INT's from defenders.

And even if you want to stop the 'excuses', he's on pace for a whopping 10 INT"s this season and 3 fumbles.

Nope, you made the initial claim. Post 2-3 probable interceptions per game. I will admit Dak had accuracy issues early on but this idea that DBs drop more of his passes than other QBs is......... hyperbole.

The defense blowing 4th quarter leads is why this team is 3-3 instead of 5-1.

Dak did his job in both losses to the Packers and the Rams. He did his job today, too.

Get the defense to play better and a lot of what ails this team is fixed.

Not really. They average out to a slightly below-average defense, and the Cowboys far exceded what those teams normally give up.

Really short sample size obviously applies here, opponents struggling regardless of your defensive play make a big difference with how few games have happened. E.g., you can pick out 1/3 of Dallas games so far where they've given up 10 or fewer points, nobody's calling them a slightly below average defense.
