The Giants are done. The Eagles lose Peters and Hicks for the season. Apparently the Commanders are in even worse shape:

We knew the defense and oline was going to need time to gel. As long as the form shown in SF continues, the injury bug stays away, and Nugent isn't aweful, things are looking up. Even if Elliott eventually serves the suspension, we have some other capable backs. What I do not want to see is the team coming out flat fresh off a dominate performance.

We will need to beat the Eagles twice.
It is a long way away, but it may come down to the division, if we can get back in it. But the last game at Philly may be for the division. maybe even another win and in, lose and out type game depending on other WC teams.

And Garrett's track record with these type of games are not good.

If we win the division it would be nothing short of a miracle at this point with this upcoming schedule. They will have earned it that's for sure.

1 week at a time. It is amazing how things change over the course of a few games.

Those Eagles losses didn't stop them from dominating the Commanders. I know Peters was hurt later, but they lost Hicks after two plays.

And I didn't see their replacement tackle being any sort of a liability.

Not sure about that. Big V as they call him has been up and down. He was brutal filling in early for Johnson when he was suspended last year but did get a bit better as the year went on. Now trying to play LT full time?

Wentz better keep his Houdini act going because I suspect he's going to see a lot of pressure in the coming weaks, even more than he's seen thus far.

A distinct possibility, but I'm of the "believe it when I see it" variety.

I thought "Big V" did a more than adequate job of filling in Monday night. Whether that holds up? Who knows? But until I see it seriously hurting the Eagles, I'm out buying into it.

Wentz is the big one. He's taking ***** and taking chances. If one of them catches up to him and he gets hurt? They'll join the Packers in "season over" land like we suffered in 2015.

Actually he let up a lot of pressure Monday night. Wentz just bailed his OL out time after time.

They're not flipping Johnson to LT? I thought that was the plan.

Apparently not, at least at this point. Some in the media are opining that the Eagles fear moving Johnson and then putting a new RT in would create unfamiliarity at two OL positions. So they will leave Johnson at RT and hope V can handle the LT spot. I suspect Johnson would move to LT in the spring for 2018 if Peters just retires.

While this is true but you can bet this coach will have his coordinators attacking those looses........all about match ups
