I'd settle for one that could actually stick on the roster!

LOL.

I just find it funny that some of these FO apologists are worried about cap space and being able to roll money into next year which is why we couldn't have signed a real 1 tech like Logan. We need that $7MM to roll over into next year to pay Martin and Lawrence.

And yet it doesn't seem to bother them that they already wasted nearly $7MM in cap space that could have been rolled into next year with the signings of Moore, Carroll and Paea, all who aren't here after 7 games.

Oy.

The FIGHT t-shirt was a few years ago though.

Not sure if it was replaced by 17 INCHES or FINISH. Maybe it is RE-COMMIT.

I don't know. It is so hard to keep up with.

I wonder if coach is getting kickbacks on these t-shirts?

Pretty slick if he is. Not only stealing money from Jerry, but a nice little merchandising gig on the side.

Oh, they're so full of crap! That's why they all run to the "spending huge money" mantra, when nobody is saying that whatsoever. They've got nothing of substance to say to refute these mistakes, so they throw out something that nobody ever advocated not called for. A strawman.

As we've said repeatedly, they could have spent nearly the same money, or two or three million dollars more and kept the decent players they had, or actually paid for players that could play. Guys who would still be on the roster and contributing at the very least.

This wasn't a money or cap situation at all, it was disgustingly poor player evaluation. And not only of the outside players they brought in, but failure to preoperly evaluate those already in your own building.

That seriously needs to be fixed. Churn whenever evaluating defensive players for you, because they suck at it.

Typical response from "hopeful" fans who have been forced to accept mediocrity over the past 24 years. I get it, but it's the reason the team has been filled with constant holes for so long. Slow down with the anointing of these guys before they prove they can consistently play. You don't win with potential. How many guys have started for this team but would've never got PT on any good defense in the league? We have about 7-8 of them right now starting on defense alone.
So your idea of a fan is just to focus on the mediocrity, or the negatives, No thanks, I'll pass. That seems pretty pathetic and miserable.

So D Moore got into a bar fight last Thurs...........sits for SF game and gets cut for a Kicker

JGarrett says it was on-field reasons only but he was decent in limited snaps

Except the coaching staff has noted that he didn't follow his assignments - that isn't playing decently, that's playing crap.

So benched for crap play.

If only the coaching staff applied that concept elsewhere............ cough, cough, our SS..................

Actually it's the opposite of the one player away mantra. If we were one player away you would see a Ware type of signing instead of bargin bin players.

Well sorta. I see what you are saying. I am not meaning it so literally. But yeah, I misused the cliche.

My point is they think their defensive roster is better than it is, and they are not making an effort to assemble the best, because they think they are already close and a few 'stop gap' players is all it will take for one of their own players to grow into that 'one player away'.

Interesting how Moore can be called cheap who cares signing. Look here what that really is and less.

And this is about the third contract he's signed in that range. All while us "know nothing fans" wondered why a pass-rush starved team like Dallas never showed interest.

Awuzie hasn't done a thing yet, but according to you, he's already a success. And meanwhile, the first rounder who hasn't done anything is clearly omitted from the discussion.
Where does fhash potential equate to "he's already a success"? I can't believe you have reading comprehension issues. And yes Taco has not shown anything so far and has been a disappointment, so let's just go ahead label Taco a bust to fuel your little agenda. Brilliant.
And the offensive linemen are talked up while all of the Gavin Escobar's are clearly omitted.
Oh I'm sorry, please forgive me Stash. Here let me point out that Gavin Escobar was a wasted 2nd round pick. There, I hope you feel at least a little better now.

And sure, they "bombed their free agent signings", but at least they're didn't pay a lot for their garbage. Sheesh!

Yes, your "Cowboys blue tinted glasses are deceiving you".

You choose to point out the negatives, I move on from the negatives and look at the positives. Your fandom seems kinds sad, but that's for you to decide.

By that method, Matt Johnson was great pick. He showed "flashes" too. Same for Chaz Green.

If you can't understand that a player that is not available is not worth high regard much less praise for the organization picking them, I don't know how to help you either.
Matt Johnson was a bad pick, just because he couldn't stay healthy. Green is definitely heading down the same road, unfortunately. So are you already wanting to label Awuzie a bust, because of his current injury? Wow, seems kinda soon, but I guess if it helps you to keep adding to your list of bad draft picks the Cowboy's have made over the years, go for it. And I appreciate you wanting to help me, but I'm good, thanks anyway.

According to you, a guy who hasn't played a game is a "potential starter". Or did you forget you said that?

Apparently, according to you, the only requirement for a "potential starter" is having a star on your helmet. You don't even have to hit the field.

There's your "agenda" right there, clear as day.

Brilliant.

You seem to love to argue in extremes........... in this case, Alexander apparently wanting to call Awuzie a bust.

He never said anything of the sort.

Pass-rush starved teams that are second in the league in sacks/game?

Again, I did mention three years and "third contract", did I not?

But I guess because you got taken to school in another thread, you'll follow me here and try to start something on this one?

OK.

And failed here as well. At least you're consistant.

I'm just using your argument against you. The stats speak for themselves, right?

That's all he's got. He claims that I've called Taco a "bust" as well. Can't actually debate, so he resorts to the strawman technique again and again.

Some people need to realize what they're good at and what they're not good at.
